Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he often mulls quitting his ‘crazy job,’ but will stay on

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whose Liberals are trailing badly in the polls, on Friday said he thought about quitting his “crazy job” every day but insisted he would stay in office until the next election.

That vote must be held by October 2025 and recent surveys of public opinion show the Liberals would be crushed by the right-of-center Conservatives.

Pollsters say voters are tiring of Trudeau, who first took office in November 2015.

As much a martyr as all the other blackface martyrs.

It’s up to Canadian voters to make Castro’s bastard kid “quit.” I wonder if that country’s elections are honest.

While no country is “perfect,” I don’t bash Canada or its people. The Canadian trucker protests put the kibosh on the covidian lockdowns, muzzle mandates, and vaccine passports. Funny how “the science” on covid changed when the Canadian protests started spreading to the USA...

He’s a quivering, spineless, progressive hiding behind strong men for protection.

Oh. You mean a fascist!

Some actors worry about being typecast.

he has been paid well for his role, and he can not quit.

Sometimes deals are structured that way.

That’s not how it works. The Governor General of Canada, on behalf of the King, is required to appoint as Prime Minister whomever can command a majority of the House of Commons. There are no age or term restrictions, the Prime Minister must simply be a member of the House of Commons and is usually the leader of the largest party or a coalition of parties.

General Elections must be held every five years. Given current polling, the Liberals are going to lose the next election very badly. The GG will appoint Pierre Polilievre as PM and Trudeau will probably not hang around as Leader of the Opposition for very long after the election.

Justin Trudeau's likely next step is academia. He can join that other Leftist ex-prime minister, Jacinda Arden, at Harvard.
