Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) signed a bill aiming to rein in “rogue” prosecutors amid wider scrutiny surrounding Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s prosecution of former President Donald Trump.
The bill will allow the Prosecuting Attorneys Qualifications Commission, created last year, to determine its own rules without the state Supreme Court’s approval. Speaking to the press at the signing of the bill, Kemp cited the issue of crime, saying the legislation was needed to ensure prosecutors were properly prosecuting criminals.
“This legislation will help us ensure rogue or incompetent prosecutors are held accountable if they refuse to uphold the law,” Kemp said. “As we know all too well, crime has been on the rise across the country, and especially prevalent in cities where prosecutors are giving criminals a free pass or failing to put them behind bars due to lack of professional conduct.”
“When out of touch prosecutors put politics over public safety, the community suffers, and people and property are put at risk,” he continued. “Today, we are renewing our commitment that we won’t forfeit public safety for prosecutors. They let criminals off the hook. Georgians deserve better, and they deserve to feel safe in their own communities.”

Fani’s ass needs to be thrown in prison for weaponizing and ABUSING THE LAW to go after a Caucasian male politician and block him for running for president. She’s not an American. She’s just another affirmative action ho.
Oh now he does something, after Trump’s already been charged, after he went on TV and licked Biden’s ass now the douche has finally woken up..
A man of real conviction. /s
“It’s about time.”
I agree. Kemp has been very silent about this whole matter.
Why are they still alive?
Is Kemp going to do anything to rein in his ‘rogue’ people overseeing the 2020 Georgia steal? Georgia was one of seven states that facilitated the steal.
Kemp is dirty. Georgia plays for the other team.
It sounds good.
But Kemp was the one saying that stuff.
So why am I not feeling all comfortable about this?
He just made vague statements about hypothetical criminals. He didn’t say anything about Fani Willis.
He wanted to see how it would play out. Obviously it’s not playing out well. If it was where Trump was going up the river, he probably would not have signed this. It’s because Trump isn’t going anywhere that he has signed it.
This legislation was passed by the 2024 Georgia General Assembly…Kemp is trying to take credit for the legislation that was passed and presented to him for his signature.
Kemp and Raffensberger are RINO Never-Trumpers who have made a dirty Dominion deal -- they get to keep their cushy state jobs as long as the two US Senate spots go to Democrats.
I’d almost forgotten about this. Yes, it’s about time.
Kemp is a snake. That was probably his plan all along.
I agree. Kemp is your typical neocon Chamber RINO whose only interest is putting on a show for the “masses” when he is really governed by the Democratic playbook of “What mine is mine. What’s your is negotiable.”
The Fulton county people illegally recorded Trump, then leaked a deliberately forged transcript of the recording to Politico and others, then deleted the recording. They possibly lied to the Grand Jury about the transcript. The damage was done, it was a frame up. But I think the recording was recovered and the truth will come out at trial - if it gets to trial. Maybe it gets moved due to the prosecutorial misconduct, or tossed out due to the illegal recording (fruit of the poisonous tree). Maybe the Fulton county elections people will face perjury charges.
Can’t even abide by the simple 10 commandments - thou shall not bear false witness. If you can’t do that much, you don’t belong anywhere near the government.
He could have done it any time, but waited until a judge pulled out Fannys rug. He could have pardoned Trump, he could have called off the investigation. He’s a POS.
All of these Soros DA’s need to be made example of.
It’s a mystery to me why the judge was allowed to preside, considering his conflict of interest and history with Fani.
He might rule fairly, but it still seems a little shady.
