I agree that Brian Kemp is a POS, but I think was right to stand aside and let the Trump prosecution implode on its own. Acceptance of a pardon carries an implication of guilt (though not an admission), so I doubt President Trump would have wanted or accepted Governor Kemp's pardon for crimes he didn't commit. But letting it play out in court has removed all doubt that the charges were politically motivated and false, and the resulting reforms (like this new law) have come as icing on the cake.
