SHASTA COUNTY, CALIF. — After the chaos that erupted at the Shasta County Election Advisory Commission's Monday meeting, the Northstate's News wanted to take a closer look at what exactly the commission has been doing.
At the most recent meeting, on Monday, a large portion of meeting time was taken up by either members of the public offering praise or condemnation of the group.
“Bev I don’t think you did anything illegal," said one woman.
“A mandated hand count in the State of California? That’s illegal," said another local.
However, as the commission moved into discussing the controversial ad Commissioner Bev Gray ran before the election, discussion grew heated.
“I’ve had numerous people calling me with their problems," Gray said
"Have you sent those over to Joanna?" fellow commissioner Susanne Baremore shot back.
"I’m going to when I’m done with it!” asserted Gray.
The conversation continued for nearly an hour.
“As you just said, being an extension of the voter rolls, that there are limitations to what you can do with that data and personally collecting it," Baremore said.
"Do you understand that I did not ask for any ballots period?!” Gray argued back.
Soon the rest of the room joined in.
“You’re not a prosecutor," someone in the public seating shouted.
"No, but there’s some things that need to come out of this" Baremore replied.
By the end of the meeting, no recommendations were made, although they discussed figuring out more in the future.
According to their minutes and agendas, since their first meeting in October as the Elections Advisory Committee; the group has made 6 ad-hoc committees and 3 official recommendations for policy change to the supervisors, with the supervisors' Tuesday meeting being the first time any of those recommendations have been heard by the board. It was the same day one of the commissioners, Dawn Duckett, resigned.

i dont know this for a fact,
but i suspect what is being discussed is the Cast Vote Record that mike lindell in his election integrity efforts across the nation and here in Shasta county advocated using to clean up our voter data base.
i asked in email for the CVR and received an email reply with a link to it,,
,. and a threat of investigation by the shasta DA , if i understood the email correctly, for election interference if i opened the cvr link in the email they sent me, and possibly even for sharing or showing anyone that email.
needless to say, i WAS intimidated, and did not click on the CVR link the elections office sent me in response to my request.
even now i fear being investigated for even posting this about that email.
