Breitbart ^ | 03/09/2024 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 03/09/2024 4:29:35 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said that there is more work to be done on deficit reduction, President Joe Biden will continue to work on reducing the deficit, and that’s why the President has put out a proposal to raise taxes.

After Buttigieg [relevant exchange begins around 2:20] said that Biden will “continue down the path of deficit reduction that he has achieved in his presidency,” host Neil Cavuto said, “We have more debt than we did when he assumed office. Debt has grown under this President. By the way, it’s grown under the last one, the before him, and the one before him. So, no one’s making real progress here.”

A flat 120% tax rate should do it for a few years before the rates need to be increased again.

Let’s see...at another trillion more in the hole every 100 days...if he takes all of Bezos and Gates $ how far would it go? Maybe he’ll have to tap a few more billionaires...

These people in charge are IDIOTS!

By far the quickest way to reduce the deficit and ease inflation would be to stop spending and printing money. But this is like telling an 60 year alcoholic to just stop drinking and everything will be OK.

The government is in love with our money and like an abusing spouse wont stop until our money is dead.

I wonder if Buttigieg has spent even a second considering why American factories are moving overseas. It couldn’t be because of regulations and taxes, could it Petey?

Because voters want abortion, gay marriage and illegal invaders, apparently.

I’ve never seen anything like it.

Don’t know where one can escape in the world these days.

I dream of a little place in a small town but when I got to one to work years ago I found out that they had significant drug problems. The boredom I guess.

It was 2 hours every way to a major city.

Didn’t work out unfortunately.

I was to find out later that they were getting rid of people who refused the jab, too.

Which doesn’t surprise me.

The numbers Biden stated at SOTU by increasing taxes on billionaires and corporations : $500 b over 10 years= 50 b/year; sounds impressive with a $2 t deficit each year... not

cutting spending would require firing his favorite voting bloc the govt workers....it would require stopping funding pensions in Ukraine, which really means passing money to his cronies....

but no, we can't do that...

instead we will make SS less available and make the poor workers work longer and pay in more...

Democrats spend money they don’t have, and that creates a deficit and they raise taxes to pay for it. Nothing new here.
