Sen. Katie Britt's, R-Ala., official Republican response to President Joe Biden's State of the Union address Thursday night turned heads — but not for any of the right reasons.
The freshman senator's high-profile rebuttal was stern in its focus on immigration and the state of the economy — two key sticking points against the president — but had a bizarre delivery, according to The Daily Beast. Its dramatic cadence and beige-toned kitchen backdrop left political operatives and observers unsure of what to make of it.
Britt's performance was so unnerving that some Republicans watched "with a grimace," the Daily Beast reports. A GOP strategist even told the outlet that gossip about Britt's delivery quickly circulated among operatives connected to Donald Trump, which could have an impact on her consideration as his running mate.

I didn’t see the SOTU or the GOP response, but I find it very difficult to believe that this woman Katie Britt did not a much better job than Senile Joe. The man is obviously suffering mentally and a kinder family than the one he has would let him get some rest in retirement.
I thought it contrasted nicely with scumbags insanity.

I thought she did great. She was calm and measured unlike Biden, but showed enough emotion to connect with her generation. Funny that the only “Republicans” quoted by Salon were political consultants for Halley and other failed leftist RINOs. Giving the speech from her kitchen reinforced her message that Biden is completely out of touch with the middle class.

I’m not reading about Republicans everywhere being freaked pit over this. I’m sure some loved, some hated.
Assume the speech was targeted to women, have no idea if it resonated or not.
The bigger story is Biden repeating the same old BS and not failing to apologize for allowing the border invasion. Hell, he secretly flew in 320K people… secretly. WTF!
This is Salon’s way of knocking down a potential rising star. She did a much better job than diaper brain did with the SOTU.
She did a good job, maybe a little bit over dramatic but I think she was aiming at the suburban women out there who were watching..Trump already has the dude vote
It is “Stepford Wives” stuff—the first version of the movie was better than the remake.
The best response would have just been a slideshow showing all the illegals streaming across the border and the homeless encampments everywhere.
I agree. She was put there to attract the women that think Reps are nothing but mean old men. Mission accomplished.
