Arsonists calling themselves the Volcano Group left Tesla’s German factory without electricity on Tuesday, leading to damages the company claims could approach $1 billion.

Not to split hairs, but if they possibly caused $1B in damage, not sure how that makes them dumb. Idiots, yes. Dumb, not necessarily.
Time to start executing eco terrorists.
They’re not dumb Elon is now on the left’s enemies list.
This group said the Tesla plant was taking over the water supply and yes I see the Biden Administration funding computer chip plants and water projects.
In York County, PA where I live somebody wants to force people out of their homes to build a new reservoir.
Local Republican politicians and even a Democrat showed up to oppose it.
The feds get a say (Biden?) on building this thing.
Actual quote: “These are either the dumbest eco-terrorists on Earth or they’re puppets of those who don’t have good environmental goals. “
They are enemies, so it’s right to do. The leadership is funded by China.
I’m curious as to how losing power in a factory assembly plant can lead to 1$B dollars in damages. What am I missing? Was the whole building held together by electro-magnets w/o backup generators and it all collapsed?
And live-streaming the executions on TV and the internet.
Eco TOTALITARIANS destroying other people’s property.
BUMP!
With Just In Time manufacturing, any delay gets costly *fast*.
Long past time. It has been going on for more than a decade.
Chip manufacturering in particular requires constant power at exact specifications as the chips (and further upstream) the silicon wafers are cast and deposited in ultrapure vacuums on the furnaces. Then later, as the chips are assembled and photoetched, overlayed and soldered - again in ultra-high vacuums and precise (to the nanometer) dimensions. Battery fabrication, motor fab, brakes and wiring harnesses and poly fabrics? ALL are screwed up if the power or sequencing and gluing and curing is interrupted.
And trying to restart requires all of those hundreds of “partially cured, partially melted, partially cut and assembled parts” be found, torn out, scrapped, begun again. And restarting itself required even more scrap.
Yeah. Easy to see many dozens of millions. Billions?
Arsonists
They are not trying to win friends.
Elon Musk would do well to pull all manufacturing out of the former free world. Including the USA.
They should have electrocuted themselves to prove their argument
They drove away in a Mercedes. Or a VW.
Visualize a powerful machine suddenly stopping in the middle of a cut, stroke, paint spray, or a lift failing. Just the aspect of ruined parts could get to a big number?
