Ken Paxton hit the campaign trail with a smile last week.
Beaming in photos he posted of events in Collin County, Denton County, Grayson County and Tarrant County, the Texas Republican attorney general campaigned and promoted more than a dozen candidates on the ballot in this week’s primary election.
Most are new faces to the Republican Party, because Paxton, the legally embattled but popular statewide official, isn’t seeking to shore up his party’s incumbents: Paxton is out for revenge.
“It’s time for a whole new slate in Collin County,” he wrote in one post with a photo of him and five Republican candidates seeking to oust incumbents. Two of them are running in the same race — his tweet suggests voters pick one — but all share one key characteristic in their primaries: They didn’t vote to impeach the attorney general last year.
Paxton was impeached on corruption charges by the Texas state House last May, with 60 votes coming from his own party, before the Texas state Senate acquitted him in September and restored him to office.
Now, the attorney general has issued endorsements to candidates in more than 70 contests, with most going to Republican lawmakers who voted against his impeachment or those challenging GOP incumbents who voted for it. His social media accounts boast a two-page, single-spaced list of endorsements up and down the primary ballot Tuesday.
And he has a powerful ally in his effort: Former President Donald Trump has endorsed a dozen of the candidates Paxton is backing, making good on his promise to punish those who voted against his longtime ally.

Ok by me
Ditto!!
Good for him. I hope he is a successful as possible in all he does!!!
If you try to kill a guy, you better not lose. It is called do or die.
Ken Paxton would be a great governor, but doesn’t he have his sights set on challenging Cornyn for the U.S. Senate in 2026?
The reason Drunk Dade Phelan went after Paxton was that they wanted George P Bush (Jeb’s son) to pick whatever seat he wanted, since we the voters owe it to him. In this case, after his disastrous work in the Land Commissioners office, he decided he should be the AG. He is a Bush after all. Besides Karl Rove wants it also.
Revenge is a dish best served cold. Much better to get even or ahead of your enemy when they least expect it or thinking they have gotten away with their foul deed. You just never know when something might happen to you for dealing someone dirty. It could be anywhere or any time or any way.
I wonder if the moron who wrote this thing would want to have those hounding you invited to Thanksgiving dinner.
IT’S NOT REVENGE IMBICILE...IT’S JUSTICE.!!!
If you try to politically assassinate someone, it is best to not miss.
Like Doc Holliday, I prefer to call it a reckoning.
Paxton also opposes Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Republican incumbents Presiding Judge Sharon Keller, Judge Barbara Hervey and Judge Michelle Slaughter for denying him the right to prosecute voter fraud.

Hervey will face off against Gina Parker, a Waco attorney, on March 5. Presiding Judge Keller’s opponent is David Schenck, a former state appeals court judge. Slaughter will take on Lee Finley, lawyer from Paxton’s native Collin County.

There are some here who support Dade Phelan.
There are some here who support Dade Phelan.“
There will always be traitors. Mitt would get tens of thousands of votes if he ran for re-election.
The case against Paxton seemed a clear case of railroading based upon spurious claims. There should be some decisiveness on people who fell for it or championed it.
Serve it fresh and cold, Ken. It is all these dirtbags understand.
Ken is a fighter. Refreshing.
And when they win an election they “seize control.”
