Hamas: No hostage deal without permanent ceasefire - report

In a significant development amid ongoing negotiations, Hamas, the terrorist group governing the Gaza Strip, has said that it will not agree to the release of hostages without Israel committing to a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

Citing a source within Hamas, CNN reported that the group is adamant about the cessation of hostilities as a prerequisite for any deal regarding the release of hostages.

According to the Hamas source, apart from the demand for a fixed truce, two other key points of contention preventing an agreement from being reached include the withdrawal of Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops from Gaza and the allowance for civilians to return to the northern Gaza Strip.

Additionally, Hamas has insisted on the provision of aid to both the southern and northern parts of the Gaza Strip before agreeing to any deal.

Hamas doesn’t have much of a bargaining chip left..

They still have the MSM and the idiot college students. That's what they depend on, however, it's not working this time, so they are are toast.

The hostages are probably all dead,

Yep. And if Hamas agrees to a list, Israel better demand proof of life, also.

and Biden can beg Israel all he wants its not going to change the fact that Israel is going to destroy Hamas once and for all..the ONLY reason why the left wants a cease fire is because Hamas is LOSING and they cant stand it

RE: Saul and the Amalekites

An interesting result of Saul’s disobedience to Samuel was his sparing of the Amalekite King, AGAG.

Hundreds of years later, this disobedience resulted in the near elimination of the Jews.

In 1 Samuel 15, King Saul was commanded by God through the prophet Samuel, to totally destroy the Amalekites TOTALLY, but he disobeyed and spared their king, Agag.

As recorded in the Book of Esther, Hundreds of years later, Haman , the powerful official of Xerxes plotted to eliminate the Jews and almost succeeded had God, in His divine providence not intervened.

Haman was as an “Agagite” by lineage, which is understood to mean he descended from this Amalekite king Agag that Saul spared.

This background helps explain Haman’s hatred and attempted genocide of the Jewish people, as the Amalekites were characteristic enemies of the Israelites.

Muslims held hostages are considered martyrs by their brethren and so are expendable.

I thought Hamas wanted to fight. Now they don't want to fight.

What happened?

Many of the hostages are already dead but perhaps fewer than we suppose.

Many seem to be held by individual Gazans who are not in communication with Hamas leadership

At some points these individuals are seeing the hostages they hold as their own personal bargaining chips, not Hamas bargaining chips as Hamas unit cohesion falls apart

Israel will end them.

There is nothing else they can do.

They will try to recover the hostages, but many are probably dead already. Hence their refusal before a deal.

Bye Bye Hamas.

"Raze Gaza to the ground and fill in the holes."

After total annihilation of hamas, build a Mediterranean resort the
gazans were too in thrall of their terrorist comrades to construct.

Appears after over 75 years Israel is not going with the Lucy and the football Hudna trick again.

I hate war but the only people crying over this are those paid to march and yell.
Hamas and their charter of death to Israel just won’t be tolerated anymore?

Has anybody here seen the movie “Ransom”? That is how you deal with Kidnappers. Lindberg baby should have been a lesson for the entire world
Middle east may be a different culture, but you never pay off a Kidnapper.
Chances are the victim is dead.
Cold as it may seem, but the person died when taken victim.
No different than murder.
In America, Kidnapping is one of the few non-war crimes that have the death penalty at the Federal level.
BTW There is no Federal law against murder.
That is up to the states.

Exactly. I feel sorry for the families but the Government needs to protect all Israelis.
The Government needs to first & foremost prevent another OCT 7th. Giving in to terror enables terrorists & produces more terror.

I believe that you are right because there are no living hostages left to be released.

Israel must play hardball or October events will be repeated.
