Portland, Oregon - Veterans burned their US military uniforms during a powerful protest on Wednesday in honor of Aaron Bushnell, the active Air Force member who self-immolated in protest at Israel's war on Gaza.
The action, organized by the group About Face: Veterans Against the War, took place in honor of 25-year-old Bushnell, an active Air Force member who died after setting himself on fire outside the Israeli embassy in Washington DC on Sunday to protest US complicity in Israel's bombardment and invasion of Gaza.

[Leftist and Jihadist Veterans Against] any war Israel is winning, more precisely. Whether the U.S. is involved or not.
This is a throwback to the Viet Nam war.
Question: What burns 8 gallons of gas and goes nowhere?
Answer: A Buddhist monk!
The left agrees with anti-Israel sentiment, so no punishment.
Seems to me that it’s a violation of protest if it involves uniforms.
Crazies who all wore the uniform.
Note them, all.
How many? I.D. them and find out if they truly are vets. I doubt it.
Oregon, smh.
Agreed - this sounds like stolen valor
If they were so eager and proud to burn their uniforms, they should have worn them THEN BURN THEM WHILE WEARING THEM!!!
Identify them and cancel their “veteran” benefits. Wonder how many were fakes, stolen valor?
It’s Portland, Jake
Cowards! They weren’t very committed to showing their support for him if they didn’t selfimolate like he did. “Burned their uniform” oooooo how sacrificial! /s
Wouldn’t hurt my feelings none if’n every one of those daisies set themselves ablaze. Apparently, oaths mean diddly squat these dayz much less honor and commitment.
So powerful I never even heard it happened. I live just west of Portland.
Vets, my Obamahole.
Weird
But, today everyone has to make a statement, and everyone is looking for an attention grabbing way to do it.
As a soldier you do not follow orders that are illegal or immoral, but it’s the policy makers that are truly to blame if a war is illegitimate, or ill advised etc.
You are just a tool and you should know that.
***As a soldier, you can only hope an pray that those making the decisions make prudent ones.***
The nature of the military is such that things often happen quickly, you do not know the bigger picture, and others depend on your actions to survive. As a soldier, you follow orders and it needs to be that way.
Other than acts outside the scope of ones duties, a soldier should never be blamed for what politicians have created. It’s like blaming a gun or kitchen knife for having caused a murder.
Fake.
Portland is full of ANTIFA with ready access to uniforms at thrift stores.
I’ll only believe it when they follow Bushnell and self immolate.
I happen to support Israel 100%. But even if you do not, you need to do your part.
Likewise, even though I disagree with our actions in Ukraine and thought this to be a “stupid” war that should have never happened in the first place, I stand by the same concept that the soldier isn’t to blame and needs to follow his orders.
Was John Kerry there? This sounds like something he would be part of.
As I was walking to the precinct, I was met by a candidate for Congress, specifically a Democrat candidate for the Congressional seat in my district. We were having a genial conversation until I saw the "Free Palestine" button on his shirt.
He pleaded with me that he was doing it for "humanitarian reasons", but I was having nothing of that. My response was "Hamas has nothing to do with humanity, they should be eradication from the earth. I know my history, and I've been to Dachau twice. I support Israel 100%, good day to you!"
