Friday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) said she was “open” to serving as a vice-presidential nominee.
“Tulsi, you’re being considered for a VP slot,” host Jesse Watters asked. “Is that something you’re open to?”
“I would be open to that,” Gabbard replied. “My mission is to serve our country. I want to be in a position to solve problems, Jesse, and we’ve got a lot of them to solve.”

The problem is political careerism - the cult of the professional politician. Enough terms in office even the most ardent conservative merges toward a state of Ratness! Why? Political careerism breeds a commonality of interests. With multiple terms the differences between a conservative politician and a leftist politician blur.
Term limits!
Repeal the 17th Amendment!
State legislatures can’t do worse.
ADD:
Tulsi supported Bernie Sanders for the presidential nomination.
Her being open means nothing.
I read the whole thing ... slowly. You are correct about Carlson and very gullible about the rest.
Trump / Ramaswamy it will be.
I think it will be Noem.
Where is there any evidence of her having a conservative epiphany? Without that you’re voting hotness over principles! Not a bad reason for prom queen but not for VPOTUS.
2028 will elect the Trump VP almost certainly. And the Trump VP MUST be someone who will extend and broaden MAGA. Like Vivek. Who many don’t like. No matter, God often picks those rejected by man.
Otherwise, the election would go to a Lying Leftist along the likes of Gavin Newsom and America will disappear.
IMO, God is not ready for America and, thus, the world, to plunge into utter darkness.
Soon, but not yet.
We'll see. But I think Vivek is too much of a personality for Trump. He'll steal his show.
NOT eligible.
Does she support:
The deportation of all illegals?
Cutting off foreign aid and all sorts of foreign giveaways?
Ending all federal involvement in pushing Wokeness, and the homosexual/lesbian movements?
Eliminating the Dept. of Education?
Ending all federal “climate change” measures?
Ending all affirmative action programs and preferences?
Etc., etc.
A politician can change, but these issues would amount to a huge movement to the right for her.
many of her views are on the link at post #9 ...
Exactly. Thank you for pointing out her actual record.
There is no alternative to Vivek as a MAGA successor. Vivek it will be.
VP no. I would like to see her in the cabinet. Secretary of Defense perhaps?
“ But I think Vivek is too much of a personality for Trump. He’ll steal his show.”
That’s a good point but Vivek is smart enough to know not to overshadow Trump. In their joint appearances notice he’s been keeping it down..and brief. He needs to show just the right amount of energy to boost Trump without upstaging him. And he’s doing just that.
Have y’all gone softheaded? Mere speculation on the one hand, RFKjr veep would probably work out better for this idea.
“ I think it will be Noem.”
It’s possible but I don’t think Trump will go for a token candidate this time like he did last time. He needs an ideological true believer and a warrior who will be down in the trenches with him. And I don’t see anyone filling that role other than Vivek.
The Vice President certainly has a say in the case of a tied vote in the Senate.
Should the president succumb, the Vice President would become president.
The Vice President also runs the show during the meeting and voting by the electors.
