More and more clear the collapsing GOP House position has been orchestrated by Democrats. They saw a slim majority and instead of giving up, they went to work.
They helped get rid of McCarthy as speaker.
They led the charge with the help of Republicans to remove Santos from Congress.
They pushed Ken Buck to go become a cable news contributor.
And now, someone is offering Gallagher a sweet gig to leave abruptly (but not TOO abruptly!) to effectively end the House majority.
This has been an op from Day One, they have sliced the GOP advantage by any means available. And too many Republicans were perfectly happy to help them.

Not a realistic viewpoint! There are sections of the country where conservatives are defined differently. A “conservative” that wins in Alabama will not win in California or New York. Prior to his running and election Trump wasn’t viewed as a particularly conservative Republican. There are those here on this site who say he still isn’t!
The other problem and this in my opinion is the biggest problem is multiple consecutive terms in office moves a “conservative” left. We in WV watched it happen to someone who started out as a stalwart Tea Party guy - McKinley after several consecutive terms in office end up voting for Trump’s impeachment. Voted for Trump impeachment in a state that was almost 70% for Trump. The sirens of DC\Beltway turn the head of many a conservative all it takes for that to happen is hang around too long.
The professional GOP politician class are almost already there so there’s nothing to say about them other then be wary. Try to remove them as best you can without doing strategic damage like electing a Rat.
So, you are always going to have RINOs the system breeds them. The herd must be culled as best we can every election.

State legislatures can’t do worse!
Having the state legislatures pick the senators is what the Founders intended. Senators were to be the voice of the state corporately to the federal government
If you compare the two parties ask yourself why the dems are always unified. So yes, the opinion I expressed was valid. Its an opinion and you don’t have to like it or approve, but you have no right calling it unrealistic!

Sickening isn’t it. Did you ever in your life think this would be treated by DC this way? What is the end goal for these evil people? I do believe if they manage to keep trump out of office, Texas will leave the union.

America is hanging on by a thread and only 17% of the registered voters my county went to the polls last week.
