Former Vice President Mike Pence’s political advocacy group plans to invest $20 million this year to shape the conservative agenda, an effort to directly counter what Pence had previously described as populism “unmoored to conservative principles.”

“I’m worried about DeSantis being another Pence.”
Ya THINK? Both financed by the Deep State, and really dedicated to betraying the only person who gave them power.
You can bank on that. And you can say the same thing about any of these dopes who makes a career out of politics.
Good analogy. The “blood” clots aren’t even blood; they’re rubber. Pence isn’t even a conservative.
“I despise Pence.”
I’m actually surprised he’s still a breathing entity on this earth after what he did.
There is also the contradiction between free trade and maintenance of super power status. From Lincoln to Eisenhower, the Republican Party was in favor of protective tariffs. Those tariffs protected domestic manufacturing and enabled America to be the “arsenal of democracy”. With our outsourcing of manufacturing outside the U.S., it is more difficult to have powerful armed forces. The prevalent post Cold War assumption was that the U.S. would be fighting small scale, guerrilla wars. Now we are faced with two hostile powers that will fight World War II style land and naval warfare. Just one simple item: shoes. Almost all shoe manufacturing is outside the country. If the sea lanes are not secure in the Pacific due to the PLA Navy, where will our soldiers and sailors get shoes?
If Trump does manage to win, I hope he makes better staffing choices this time.
What an interesting thing for the GOP to "fight".
The GOP believes in and will fight for:
1) Open borders
2) A global open market in labor
3) Offshoring productive industries
4) Financialization of the economy
5)) Severing the medium of exchange function of money from the store of value function.
6) Usury as the main engine of consumption.
7) Denying the people their natural, healthy love of their nation
8) Overseas wars on behalf of alien peoples without recompense for our sacrifice.
9) Forced "diversity" with its attendent decline in standards and inevitably accompanying violence.
The GOP has plenty of principles, convictions, and values. YOU must decide if they are yours, or not.
“..described as populism ‘unmoored to conservative principles.’ ....”
I have no idea what they are talking about????
“You keep using that word. I do no think it means what you think it means.”
Well, Jim, I have been a conservative Republican all of my adult life and that does not describe the Republican Party I support at all.
Pence may have thought he ran. In actuality he merely pretended to run.
Nikki is now doing the same on a larger scale.
What “conservative principles” does this PUTZ have???
The “principles” that STAB YOU IN THE BACK??
I am not fond of WIMPS. BYE BYE MIKE.
Yeah....
I think idiot staffers got this populism thing rolling without really knowing what it means? It was then too late to call the printer.
given that populism is the EXACT opposite of elitism, it’s no wonder that elitists universally opposed populism ... in fact, the easiest way to spot an elitist is to notice whether they attack populism ...
“If Trump does manage to win, I hope he makes better staffing choices this time.”
PDJT’s mistake was that he viewed FedGov employees like any private sector employer views their employees: I pay you a fair days wage so I expect a fair days work and at least enough loyalty to make keeping you around a positive thing.
Unfortunately most FedGov salary slaves are loyal only to themselves and do as little as they can get by with until their pension is large enough to allow them to quit-in-place until they get fired.
I would love to see an annual 10% reduction in the head count of FedGov employees - say for about 3 years.
To leftists, Fascism is anything they don’t agree with.
To RINOs, Populism is anything they don’t agree with.
How much of the $20 million is going to an annual salary for Pence so he can live in luxury as a political pundit? What a grift.
Too true, he needs to just go away
