Remington, the nation's oldest gun manufacturer, which has been located for more than 200 years in Ilion, New York, will move to LaGrange, Georgia, on March 4.

"Two hundred and eight years of history. Gone, gone," Ilion Mayor John P. Stephens told the New York Times. "Ilion is Remington. Remington is Ilion."

Georgia is one of the original Colonies that signed on to the Declaration of Independence. It is notable all these years later that NY State abstained from voting on the Declaration.

Congress agreed to delay the vote on Richard Henry Lee’s Resolution until July 1 & delayed the final vote until July 2, when 12 colonial delegations voted in favor of it, with all the New York delegates abstaining, unsure of how their constituents would wish them to vote. How far NY has fallen from its original colony. York indeed. New Tories more like.

And New York is communist.

This is a new opportunity for Ilion - methamphetamine, fentanyl, casinos, for the unemployed, etc. The historic factory and warehouses can be turned into hipster douche apartments, or even housing for the teeming hordes of illegal aliens pouring across the borders.

Not true. On July 4, 1776, it was adopted unanimously by the 56 delegates to the Second Continental Congress, who had convened at the Pennsylvania State House

Not true- the vote was on July 2. July 4 was adoption. This point is made by historians. A distinction with the timeline of the beginning, to become July 4th. The point was not lost on Adams or Jefferson throughout their lives. And NY did abstain, which was the point of the post. Still abstaining from the Constitution imho in deference to the Marxists in charge (Cuomo to Hochul and Letitia).

Back in 1963 the politicians of these NE States began to call for a ban on the import of 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifles. “To stop crime” They got the ban on rifles and Saturday Night Specials in 1968.

In reality the politicians were trying to protect their own gun industries from cheap foreign competition. After all an army surplus rifle cost about $15 while a nice Remington cost $90.
Now their anti-gun Rhetoric has come back to bite them as the gun companies are now fleeing the north east states for friendlier states.

wrong state. La Grange has many antebellum homes which were not destroyed by Union Col. La Grange (of NY, ironically).

Splittin’ hairs, are we? There’s more patriots in New York than most red states. Don’t forget that.

Really? In NY state? Not in Albany where they are “represented”. Say vs. Tennessee or Virginia just a small comparison. Examples from NY of Patriots (excepting Elise Stefanik), please.

Been there way too much. Place is quite corrupt. Who. Lee Zeldin? At least he tried, but for the Lord’s sake Hochul? How does this harridan hag have any power and why can the state legislature be corrected. NY has decades to go to ever be reversed from cultural and actual Marxism with everyone on the take. NYC dies off, maybe it will happen.
