The judge who presided over a civil business fraud trial against Donald Trump and his company has issued his decision in the case.
Judge Arthur Engoron ordered the former president and the Trump Organization to pay over $364 million in damages, and bars Trump "from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation or other legal entity in New York for a period of three years."
The judgment is the second this year against Trump after he was hit last month with an $83.3 million verdict in writer E. Jean Carroll's defamation case against him. The former president could also face four criminal trials this year as his presidential campaign barrels toward the November election, with the first set to begin in New York state court on March 25th.
New York Attorney General Letitia James had been seeking $370 million from Trump, his company and its top executives, including his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, alleging "repeated and persistent fraud" that included falsifying business records and financial statements. James had argued those financial statements were at times exaggerated by as much as $2.2 billion.

It is long past the time that we stopped worrying about being fair to our enemies. We need to spoon feed them back the exact same medicine they tried to use on us.
You noticed that too? I did a 'ride along' with cops when I was thinking of becoming one out of the Army (shortly after the Civil War LOL) and we landed in a judges office. This guy had a half-polished bottle of Jack on one corner of his desk, an obvious hooker polishing her nails on the other and an open Bible in the center. He pulled down one of the law books the best always had stocked up on shelves and tore the punk we brought in a new rectum.
Punk dropped his argument of Impassioned Temporary Insanity (vandalized his ex's parents' properties) and plead guilty.
That outlandish judge knew how to get things done right while minimizing burden on we taxpayers. The "soying" of males these days by the education system strives to weed out men like that to the detriment of our nation's survival.
I admit that even a year ago, I would be both angry and worried. However, at this point, I’m more of the mind that “God’s got this”. There will something that comes along that derails this verdict. Whether it be the verdict being very quickly overturned on appeal and a higher court issuing sanctions against all involved, or a secret conservative prosecutor in NY state, suddenly using the new precedent to go after a democrat big-wig real-estate player in the state.
It could possibly be a major real estate owner saying “I can’t live and do business under this threat, so I’m turning my property over to the bank and moving to Florida”. Thus taking major tax dollars away from both NYC and NY State AND leaving a few major blocks of housing just abandoned to fall apart without any landlord or owner to hold responsible.
Whatever it is, it will be glorious! For God IS in control.
I’ll say it again...
If we in NYS were okay with what Deep State is doing...
WHY IN HADES DOES IT NEED TO STEAL OUR ELECTIONS?!
Our common enemy is Deep State.
And not everyone living in NYS is Deep State.
When you allow Deep State to turn you against all of us, you play right into Deep State’s hands.
never! this is the epitome of winning because you and your wicked ilk are being exposed left and right as the tyrants you are!! LOL
see ya loser
Your faith in the “justice” system is touching, but INCREDIBLY naive.
I say this as a practicing lawyer, who has seen the sausage being made.
“We are seeing what will become more and more common in the future. “
Ditto. They have tasted power and will die on the hill to keep it—there is no turning back for Progressives. Total destruction of America and the Constitution is the aim. The 2024 election if we can pull it out will maybe give us a few more years at best until collapse .
A tar and feathering would be appropriate.
Now we know why Nikki Haley isn’t getting out, it will be her or Biden ...
Just give it to the RNC. Lara Trump said every penny will go to Trump.
A lawyer on another website, when asked about what arguments he would make to get it into Federal court, had this to say:
Eighth Amendment excessive fines clause.Numerous Fourteenth Amendment Due Process issues and the obvious Equal Protection selective prosecution issue.
The easiest and most obvious due process issue is a Caperton v. A.T. Massey Coal Co.-type argument applied to Letitia James, who literally promised to harass Trump endlessly in an effort to get votes in her election.
They were disregarding law, so why bother with details? James should face some legal consequences for the actions that she has taken, as well as the Judge. How do you bring charges against them, for as they say, no one is above the law?
"Also BMW v. Gore, which folds into the 8th Amendment issue."

Just saw “Tish” on the news. What a slovenly person.
The judge should borrow Harry Reid’s exercise equipment.
Are you getting your talking points from the DUmp? If not you’re doing an excellent impression.
