Hey, it’s Montana! Guy (airman) was probably out hunting and returning home to base.

Control your guns. Don’t let the government get their hands on it.

Bear are hibernating. Haven’t deer and birds already migrated?

“Haven’t deer and birds already migrated?”
Birds migrate, depending on species. Some just stay on through the winter.
Deer migrate???? Don’t think so - most live out their lives within a very few miles of where they’re born. The largest movement of a species in the deer family are elk moving down from higher ground to get away from heavy snowfall in the mountains. Best example is in the Jackson Hole WY area.

He is the “Ancient Aliens” guy.
If you are calling the 1960s “ancient” I am going to take that personally.

Let ‘em run around.
It’s when they start using high tech equipment is when it gets dicey.

I was stationed there for 4 long cold years. I had orders there, but managed to stay in Japan.

Maybe a tossup. My wife was stationed at Kadena, Okinawa. They had island fever after a year there. I liked it but we just did a RON then on to Hickam and Travis.

I was there as well. There were some extreme cold periods of a week or so but also warm intervals due to the warm air “Chinook system” coming over from the ocean. Its common to have a week of 20 degrees followed by -10 for a few days then up to fifty for a week and then down to 30.
We even had a day where it was “Road Condition Red” with 60 degrees and dry on base, 40 and rainy in town and a blizzard out in the missile field.

The blizzard in the missile field was all too familiar. I was an EMT team chief in the 564th. Weather not fit for man nor beast? Send out EMT.
