Conservative group tells judge it has no evidence to back its claims of Georgia ballot stuffing

A conservative group has told a Georgia judge that it doesn't have evidence to support its claims of illegal ballot stuffing during the the 2020 general election and a runoff two months later.

Texas-based True the Vote filed complaints with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in 2021, including one in which it said it had obtained “a detailed account of coordinated efforts to collect and deposit ballots in drop boxes across metro Atlanta” during the November 2020 election and a January 2021 runoff.

A Fulton County Superior Court judge in Atlanta signed an order last year requiring True the Vote to provide evidence it had collected, including the names of people who were sources of information, to state elections officials who were frustrated by the group's refusal to share evidence with investigators. In their written response, attorneys for True the Vote said the group had no names or other documentary evidence to share.

“Once again, True the Vote has proven itself untrustworthy and unable to provide a shred of evidence for a single one of their fairy-tale allegations," Raffensperger spokesman Mike Hassinger said Wednesday. "Like all the lies about Georgia’s 2020 election, their fabricated claims of ballot harvesting have been repeatedly debunked.”

True the Vote’s assertions were relied upon heavily for “2000 Mules,” a widely debunked film by conservative pundit and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza. A State Election Board investigation found that surveillance camera footage that the film claimed showed ballot stuffing actually showed people submitting ballots for themselves and family members who lived with them, which is allowed under Georgia law.

The election board subpoenaed True the Vote to provide evidence that would assist it in investigating the group's ballot trafficking allegations.

True the Vote's complaint said its investigators "spoke with several individuals regarding personal knowledge, methods,

An additional point: I would like things to remain civil between people on this forum, so one might ask why I am being so derogatory towards these people who display their ignorance and/or arrogance on this subject.

If someone posted and said they agreed with the accounts of this legal action as portrayed by The MSM elements involved in the hit job, and did not agree with True The Vote’s account of this, I could carry on with civil discourse since many times it is ignorance, and that is due to the firehose of information that is being directed at us and it is increasingly difficult for all of us to keep abreast of developments.

That is understandable.

What I have zero tolerance for is people who are not only ignorantly wrong, and not only arrogantly wrong, but additionally feel the need to disparage true Patriots like Catherine Englebrecht and her compatriots at True The Vote as “grifters” or “incompetents”.

We should respect these people for what they are doing and are trying to do, instead of disparaging them.

That fills me with considerable anger. Ignorance is not something to vocally condemn, as we are all ignorant. Ignorance with ARROGANCE and MALICE should be condemned with all available means.

Many of the people on this thread who try to steer the discussion back to Mike Lindell or Rudi Giuliani may be simply ignorant or evading the issue (since what has gone on with those two people is a completely different set of issues) but many of those same people fall into the arrogance with malice classification in my opinion, and I am disinclined to civility towards them.

Thank you very much for your reply, and the factual information you post. And thanks for link; will listen and share on TX and TS.

When everyone understands that the fake news is fake and always lies, and various levels of gov spokeholes always lie, their minds will clear.

Yes...you and I get that 100% and that is our starting point.

Some are ignorant of it. And some aren’t...but still take that side.

Re: 259 - thanks for the info. I have listened to the video a couple of times. I believe that Englebrecht's motives are good, but believe she needs to make use of charts / graphs / etc to help make her point. Otherwise, why post a video comprised of showing someone talking? A podcast of some type would seem more cost effective and efficient.

With that said, a comment that TTV needs to get a bit more media savvy. If you look at Fair Fight's web-site it's very focused on Fair Fight v. True the Vote. If you want to drive traffic to your website, it needs to be clean, and data should be no more than three-clicks away. TTV has lots of data, but they would be well served by having for example all Fair Fight v. True the Vote documents prominently displayed, along with their other prominent work.

Lastly, a word about media sources. Discernment is an important tool in reading. watching or listening sources once does not like. The Economist for example, promotes strong capital growth, is very critical of the PRC, and very critical of Biden (and Trump), etc. Yet there are people who consider it a "liberal rag". Via discernment, things can be learned in a story even though one may disagree with the conclusions potentially drawn in the story. And they are not always an easy read. It can be a tough slog - the Atlantic had a whole issue dedicated to what happens if President Trump wins the Presidency. And there were others that were an easier read (e.g. Conservative Chronicle - now sadly defunct).

Agreed. When you Look at Obama’s and Hillary’s numbers
during their runs for the top spot, they come nowhere
near Biden’s. Both of them were charaismatic, Obama
being the real draw due to race and manipulation.
Republicans crossed over just to be able to say they
voted for the first Black president. How could a man
that couldn’t draw more than 15 people to an event,
out draw them for votes? Impossible...

I doubt he got 70 million.

No state wants to come off looking bad, with regard to
holding a respectable voting process. I also think
there was an absolute refusal to admit Trump may have
had something to his claims. He had been to ruthlessly
attacked as to character, that our Republican leaders
simply refused to take the whole thing seriously.

Back in the old Clinton days, they pushed a tactic that
worked pretty good for them. The more outlandish the
charge, the more folks refused to believe it, even if
there was a very good evidence line.

The Republicans refused to admit to themselves that
something like this could happen.

They abandoned the process, and left Trump twisting
in the wind, when he was spot on with his claims.

They didn’t admit his phones were tapped and he was
under surveillance either. Even when proven, crickets!

These are some of the reasons why I hate the RNC and
the GOPe so much. They NEVER got to bat for us or
our candidates.

I second that. With prejudice.

Some of them are probably paid to be here.

The most racist comments that I can remember were the voters repeating...against all sanity...”Ooooo I want to vote for the first BLACK President.

The entire Country went nuts in 2008!

THEN in 2012...THEY STARTED THE LONG CHEAT, and that’s how he won...I AM CONVINCED.

Regards..

He actually lost about five million votes his second time
around. Some people did come to their senses.

In 2020 there were a lot of laws changed by unqualified
people in a number of states. That made it easy for the
democrats to game the system.

The state legislatures are the only entity able to change
state voting laws. They had a number of people who free
lanced to come up with ideas that were unconstitutional.

If the state legislatures had come up with them, they
would have been constitutional. It was an unusual time.

What we should have been doing is going state by state
to have them conform to the proper procedures. That
might have reversed some of the ability to be treacherous
with regard to the vote.

I know, each time I learned of a STATE Legislature making CHANGES THAT WERE NOT GOOD...I WOULD FREAK OUT.

I was hoping for someone in power to NOTICE AND STOP IT...as all disasters ...no one came.
