House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner has made information concerning a “serious national security threat” available to all members of Congress to review, the committee said on Wednesday.
While Turner and the White House remained vague on what the threat entailed, two sources and a US official tell CNN the threat is related to Russia. Multiple sources familiar with the intelligence characterized it as “very sensitive.”
One of the sources who has seen the intelligence confirmed that “it is, in fact, a highly concerning and destabilizing” Russian capability “that we were recently made aware of.”

There were claims last week that Russia was using Starlink. SpaceX denied it. But theoretically any network could be hacked and any device used to connect cloned.
But space based military threat sounds like a weapon, not a hack. Its still vague - unless they figured out a way to shoot lasers down to earth as others have implied, it could just be they have a way to hijack our satellites and or deactivate or take control of our drones and other coms. Something along those lines. Maybe we shouldn’t use hauwei chips inside our weapons and coms
And maybe we should not have made Russia a perpetual boogie man. Even Hillary! Tried to do a reset though I suspect she had personal motives. Nevertheless Russians are basically Europeans just a little east. White, Christian and with a lot of resources. Those who have said we should try rapprochement were right. They may not have a great leadership structure but we pushed them closer to China and Iran and India (and Brazil by extension) as a result of our policies. They would have done it anyway, but perhaps with less enthusiasm had we had a more effective diplomatic and economic policies other than demonizing them with fake stuff like election interference and trump collusion nonsense etc. Then blowing up pipelines etc. NATO advancement eastward. All kinds of silliness.
We can mostly agree Russia is a bad actor in its aggression against Ukraine. But a candidate for POTUS who doesn’t see the opportunity here to ratchet a lot of silly policies back is missing a great opportunity to create a dinner table election. Left may hate Russia and Christians but only fools want wars.

I won’t discount the possibility that Dems/WH are amused by this public announcement. The reverse could also be true and Turner may be trying to defuse a Dem plot to rile up the media and pundits with a top secret meeting followed lots of pressure to act immediately on these state secrets by the talking heads. I think Kirby basically admitted he had scheduled a secret meeting for tomorrow and that it was unusual for his office to initiate such a meeting. So Turner’s call to declassify the intel could be a way to cut through the crap; to pre-empt any vague tactics to jam Ukrain aid through or the like. If the meeting happens and the talking heads come out from their crypts, Turner already opened the door to ask “let us know the details so that the people can evaluate”.
It may be wishful thinking on my part, but some efforts to lift the fog over DC decisions (implicitly the various corruptions and self dealings and turf protections and outright lies by our agencies) is long past due. Everyone at least feels in their bones that there’s something odious wrt Ukraine corruption, with Jeffrey Epsteins videos, with Covid origins, you name it nothing is the way the MSM wants to portray it. It’s time for a reckoning and it could start with opening more doors to transparency and debate and less censorship and demonization and “secrets we can’t know about but must change our entire way of life” over.

It could be the reverse and Turner is trying to preempt a head fake planned by the Dems/WH/DS about something urgent that we aren’t allowed to know like Adam Schiff’s “secret proof” that sent us down a 3 year rabbbit hole for nought. We can’t know which it is yet, if any, and may never know.
That is all the background that I needed to know. He’s probably getting some crumbs off the Ukraine meal ticket table.
The timing just stinks. And the method is just irresponsible.
The entire thing stinks. It all smells of desperation. But there does seem to be a showdown coming over Ukraine and a divide between House and Senate priorities in general. So you just had to expect some forms of subterfuge to emerge. And both sides will have to play their hand.

They don’t fly faster than radio waves. If you can “see” them, you can kill them. It just takes a little more work.
