On Monday’s broadcast of “CNN NewsNight,” former DNC chair and former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean stated that while he admires President Joe Biden approaching foreign policy based on what’s best for the country, “I do think, however, that he is moving towards a position” that is “probably more to the liking of Arab Americans.”
Dean said, “I think Netanyahu has always tried to push things his way. I think relationships with the United States, particularly with the Democrats, started to slide downhill when Netanyahu addressed the Congress at the invitation of the Republicans without bothering to consult with President Obama, and there’s been bad blood ever since. Netanyahu is, in my view, sort of Trump with brains, very clever, very cunning, always interested in Netanyahu, and I think he’s pursuing these measures principally because he’s worried about his ratings, which have gone into the toilet. But he’s a less and less reliable, ally, I think.”

The State of Israel is the national home of the Jewish people, in which it fulfills its natural, cultural, religious and historical right to self-determination. The right to exercise national self-determination in the State of Israel is unique to the Jewish people.

How-weird Dean now looks completely sane when he is standing next to Joe Bi-Dem.
YEEEHAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
I know....sometimes autocorrect can be funny though.
Why would any country be an ally of the US? We have proven to be unreliable with our friends and we cozy up to our mutual enemies.
If I were in Netanyahu’s position & was asked to consult with the Congress by the Republicans & not Obama...I would say that would be the better of the two choices. You might not like Netanyahu, but I don’t believe he’s stupid.
Most the Zionist’s came from Eastern Europe and while Jewish by definition, were far from being highly pious Jews with an Orthodox view. In fact, many of the Orthodox Jews reject Zionism.
This isn’t my field of expertise (Zionism and the Jews), but in the mixed bag of nuts called Israel, you basically see an Eastern European and European influence, followed by our influence. It’s a “Jewish state” in so far that all Jews have a “right of return.”

Having been persecuted nearly everywhere they lived through the ages, Israel allows anyone that’s a Jew to come (flee).
But Israel’s policies and laws are more secular than anything else. The demographics is diverse. You have non Jews in government and positions of power. Christians and others can practice their religion there...
It’s NOT a theocracy as you stated which is often what is incorrectly insinuated when the term “Jewish state” is mentioned.
Israel is actually socially / economic / political quite liberal (In the modern leftist way).
They were opposed by the Socialist Bundists, who believed confining all the Jews to one state went against their goal of international Socialism.
