Well, he terms self-limited, fine, but Mayorkas impeachment may be just his first stab at republican backs ( or uniparty sacrificial lamb). Heritge claims a quid-pro-quo on Mayorkas where Gallagher sent a letter requesting monitoring of imported textiles two weeks ago, then Mayorkas agreed in a letter received AM of impeachment. However, how dumb must you be to believe Mayorkas on anything?

He knows he has zero chance of being reelected after voting against the mayorkas impeachment.

I hope the door hits him hard on the way out.

And as a WI boy, he knows when a teat goes dry that it’s time to change cows.

"Through my bipartisan work on the Armed Services and Intelligence Committees, chairing the Cyberspace Solarium Commission, and chairing the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, we’ve accomplished more on this deployment than I could have ever imagined," Gallagher said"

Really? If he believes that he really should move on.

Rep. Mike Gallagher was a No vote on impeaching Mayorkas, and now he’s getting a nice big job in the defense industry.

Keep your eyes on people who call his resignations a “loss” for Congress and the GOP.— Cernovich (@Cernovich) February 10, 2024

Treason.

"Electoral politics was never supposed to be a career and, trust me, Congress is no place to grow old - and so I shall go get rich selling out the US while working for the military industrial complex.
