UNICEF is warning that military escalation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah would mark a “devastating turn” in the war between Israel and Hamas, as Israel moves toward an expected ground invasion in the area.
“An escalation of the fighting in Rafah, which is already straining under the extraordinary number of people who have been displaced from other parts of Gaza, will mark another devastating turn in a war that has reportedly killed over 27,000 people – most of them women and children,” UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell said in a statement Thursday.
UNICEF said 600,000 children are among the more than 1 million people in the densely populated city in the southern Gaza Strip. Many fled to Rafah as fighting erupted in northern areas of Gaza. If the region’s remaining hospitals, shelters, markets and water systems are destroyed, hunger and disease “will skyrocket,” the U.N. organization warned.

This must be where the Hamas leadership has been cornered. Thus the concern.
They can overthrow the Hamas terrorists (who are the duly elected government of the Gazan people) and hand them over to the IDF or they can let the IDF do the job themselves.
Consider it a recall election.
You reap what you sow.
Elections have consequences.
Devastating for who?
From the river to the Med, all ham-ass should be dead!
Then all the more reason that the IDF should concentrate all their efforts to force the Hamas leaders to flee still further.
The sea beckons...
Because there sure is no welcome mat out for them in the Sinai Peninsula.
And clearly they cannot go home again.
What the hell does UNICEF have to do with anything? I thought they went around on Halloween collecting coins in cans so they can pay the salaries of their employees to worry about children and women. Why don’t they call themselves UNICORN and start planting food for the women and children.
Since the UN participated with hamas in the attacks on Israel and has been supporting them ever since, I don’t give a da** what they think.
“27000 mostly women and children.”
Prove it.
I want all my pennies back (that I gathered as a kid for “children”) from these UNInitwit frauds! Also...how about some of them reparations???
Ooooo must be a treat to their philanthrocapitalism. Can’t stop the NGO grift.
Does “marks a devastating turn” mean Israel is winning? Can we finally put an end to this saga?
UNICEF is part of the U.N. Under whose schools in Gaza weapons caches were found. They were even in on the Hamas attack on Israelis. So I think UNICEF’s bleating about “escalations” means Israel is close to finding and eradicating the vermin who populate Gaza. Too bad, so sad, you murderers!
