The White House on Thursday announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will soon be "forced" to reduce operations at the southern border due to lack of funds.
Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters that because Republicans have not passed the bipartisan border security agreement with funding for Israel and Ukraine, the administration is left with no choice but to pull back from the border.
"Because congressional Republicans are choosing partisan politics over our national security and refusing to pass the bipartisan national security agreement that includes significant border reforms and funding, over the coming weeks, ICE will be forced to reduce operations because of budget shortfalls," Jean-Pierre said during a gaggle on Air Force One.
"We have asked Congress for additional funding and resources, and every time Congress has provided less than we asked for, or most recently, completely ignored our supplemental request," she said.

The Bill didn’t explicitly lock down the border. It didn’t mandate a closing of the border, construction of barriers, etc. For the WH to suggest this, they’re liars. Let’s not forget Biden has always had the authority as POTUS to stop the insanity. Nor let us forget what he did shortly after inauguration, dismantled Trump policies to stop illegal immigration and actually invite what would become an invasion.
No one takes this seriously in our Federal government, we as law abiding citizens will pay the price for this treasonous stupidity.

Ukraine is suffering Russian bombings and shelling 10 to 1 as we speak. They are right now just trying to save their families from imminent death. They try to survive. They will be able to help their allies once the Russian neocons stop their never-ending war. But the Kremlin deep-state sees a lot of future economic winning in waging wars all over the planet, just like the old Soviet days.
This bill funds and sets in stone their desired rate of invasion. If they don’t get the money, the invaders don’t get the DHS welcome party with all it’s taxpayer funded freebies, and if they pull DHS off the border the invaders won’t be getting registered as cut-outs for future ballot harvesting. Many of the invaders will think twice about coming if they can’t get the freebies.
Aside from the White House threats being treasonous, they will be counterproductive to the White House goals. Call their hand, or even raise the stakes for a better deal for tax-payers.
Can deportations get any lower?
Akin to closing highway rest stops and national parks.
