House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY), and House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) on Monday said any consideration of the “border” bill would be a “waste of time.”
The House Republican leaders said in a written statement:
House Republicans oppose the Senate immigration bill because it fails in every policy area needed to secure our border and would actually incentivize more illegal immigration.
Among its many flaws, the bill expands work authorizations for illegal aliens while failing to include critical asylum reforms. Even worse, its language allowing illegals to be ‘released from physical custody’ would effectively endorse the Biden ‘catch and release’ policy.

Funny how DJT was able to seal the border as tight as a drum without any special legislation.
They had better not use it as a negotiating starting point either. Just file it in the circular file and say “try again, but first close the border”.

PDJT comes from business background in construction. He has actually built things, on budget and on time. Very few Congress critters have such background. They are all about smooth speeches and no action.
Let us hope so because the natural born American will not be able to defend his country from an influx of immigrants the size of Chicago every year, who are intending to live off of benefits.

I just called to confirm that my congressman is against the bill. It was a wasted call. He’s firmly against it.

As it should be—I say close the border tight. No more foreigners permitted, save by entry points legally. I believe we need a new branch of the military. The Border Guard. To secure the border with warplanes, tanks, armored cars and more, taller walls than China’s Great Wall.
Yes, GOOD, but the thing is so bad it is not even the basis for negotiation. File it in the round file and tell Senate nice try but no cigar, start over and for the first line write SEAL THE BORDER. Oh, and by the way, give the village idiot Lankford a lolly-pop and shut him in a closet.
