The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that 135 people were sickened with an “unknown” illness while on board a cruise ship operated by Cunard Line.
In an update issued on Jan. 31, the agency said that the predominant symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea, but it said the “causative agents” are “unknown.” Out of about 2,700 passengers and crew, 135 were sickened on Cunard Line’s Queen Victoria, which is on a planned voyage from Jan. 22 to Feb. 12. However, the cases that have been currently reported “do not represent the number of active (symptomatic) gastrointestinal cases at any given port of call or at disembarkation,” the agency said.

Me? NEVER!
You??
Did you get the jabs, too?
Btw...I’ve been on a cruise....and, I agree w/the poster who said....Don’t go on cruises!😂
Happy sailing!
They did last time, around.
Using your logic we should all avoid any large gathering like sporting events, movie theaters and concerts.
Tell me, in the mind of the paranoid germaphobe, exactly what is the threshold for number of people gathered together that will guarantee no germs are transmitted?
Enjoy your isolation......I will continue to live my life free of fear of The sniffles. 😂😂😂😂😂
You have no idea what you’re even talking about.
Germaphobe? Seriously?
You FAIL, at leftist projection!
I travel, extensively...just not on cruise ships. Never any fear of germs, or, crowds.
We NEVER masked up, we never stopped traveling, gathering, etc.
Just because you’re triggered that people don’t like your stinking cruise ships, doesn’t make them germaphobes. Quite the opposite.
Enjoy your daily rehashed food and seeing the SAME people, for days, on end.
Btw ... did you get the jabs?? Just curious, since you didn’t address that and you seem like a devoted cruiser..
“Which means 95% were unaffected.”
NOT TRUE!
From personal experience, unless deathly ill, you do NOT report it, fearing being quarantined to your stateroom.
I didn’t pay thousands of dollars to be stuck in my room. I’ll deal with the diarrhea and upset stomach myself.
Oh, BTW, I will NEVER go on another cruise or fly on another airplane for the rest of my life.
Taco day.
“...on Cunard Line’s Queen Victoria”
So much for going on Queen Victoria, but LUCKILY there are many other cruise ships to choose from.
(don’t laugh, we do that all the time to rationalize our decisions, like thinking that our local public school doesn’t do those horrible things like Grooming)
Exactly!! 17-day Panama Canal cruise, February 2020. First two weeks were great, third week my entire cruise group (six ladies of a certain age) all got sick with bad coughs, aches, etc. We were aware that a mysterious disease was emanating from China, so kept our mouths shut due to not wanting to be quarantined, just wanted to get off the ship and go home.
Starting to think if you were a bad guy and you wanted to seed a bad thing... you’d do it on a cruise ship. Incubate on the ship, and then send everyone home... all over the country.
“With the “washy washy” girls singing songs and spraying hand sanitizer.”
We did a Norwegian cruise way back in 2010. Those “washy washy girls” were the most beautiful Filipino women on the ship. Mrs L kept saying “your hands are clean now, honey. Move along.”
LOL

If Johnny Jihad is your steward, it might be a problem.
The heartbreak of psoriasis?
Whoa there tiger! Strike a nerve there did I?
You wind up easy. LOL!
BWAHAHAHA!!!
You tend to repeat exactly what I already posted to you, Trigger!
Bwahahahaha.
Again ... No sale.
Did you get the $hots?
(STILL no answer to that question, Trigger. 🐎)
We experienced it every time my family vacationed in Honduras. Fortunately, my brother-in-law (who was Honduran), brought a supply of the necessary antibiotic pills and as soon as we started feeling the symptoms, we would take the pills and that was the end of that......
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Its only the first time cruisers who get all these illnesses
