President Biden has a significant lead over former President Donald Trump in the popular vote of a hypothetical 2024 matchup, a new national poll shows.
The Quinnipiac University survey shows Biden leading Trump 50% to 44% after the same poll had the incumbent edging out his rival, 47% to 46%, in December.
Biden’s strong numbers are driven by the support of 58% of female voters, 52% of independents and 62% of voters with college degrees.
“The gender demographic tells a story to keep an eye on,” said Quinnipiac polling analyst Tim Malloy.
“Propelled by female voters in just the past few weeks, the head-to-head tie with Trump morphs into a modest lead for Biden.”
By contrast, Trump wins male voters with 53% support in that demographic, but only captures 40% of independents.

i expect you are right, throw in Mass and Illinois, and you have a large plurality in states where Trump is unlikely to win anyway. So let California pile up a 4 million vote margin, They wont get any more electoral votes than if they won by a 100. Sure inflates “the popular vote” though.
These are propaganda/push polls. They are used to “create” a story which leads to a narrative which leads to a scenario where the desired result of an election can be deemed feasible even if the election is fraught with fraud.
Just laying the groundwork for “The Steal 2.0 (New and Improved!)
I would gladly give up my right to vote in order to prevent Karen and LaQuisha from voting.
Q poll: this poll is only “borderline credible.” It (and the CNN poll) is tilted Democrat by 4 points, whereas most major media polls (ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC) are tilted Democrat by 2 or 3 points. Polling results fluctuate about their tendency. Comparing this to most other polls, it looks like we have a combination of bias and fluctuation. Unless this result is confirmed by other polls, its result should be dismissed. The betting markets didn’t move on the release of this poll. Bear in mind, we could loss the nationwide popular vote by as many as 3 points and still win the battleground states needed to win the election.
In my state (CT) Republicans control nothing.
There is zero chance of abortion being outlawed in the state—ever.
So explain to me why large numbers of women are worried about abortion being banned in CT?
Because—they are totally irrational.
You can’t fix that.
It would be interesting to see what they used instead of a hockey stick.
Abortion allows women to reward men with unprotected sex.
This is an obvious outlier poll by Quinnipiac, but on the upside, it might persuade more Democrats to retain Biden as their candidate.
Thanks. I wondered if they were “push polls” that try to advance an agenda, not read the voter mood.
What gets me is feminists are always saying how “strong” and capable and wonderful women are, how they can do anything men can do, etc. But planning ahead and preventing pregnancy? Oh, mercy, no! Women are helpless ninnies who must be allowed to kill their babies because they’re going to have unprotected sex and are too lazy or stupid to use birth control!
That is why trump needs to either bring a woman on the ticket or someone who is pro choice it’s the only way he can win
This fraud poll has already been posted MANY times. It dosent matter who is reporting it - the source is the SAME. A bunch of stoner college kids doing like Mickey Rooney saying 90 years ago, “Let’s put on a show”. Only its “Let’s put on a poll”
Oh look! Another laughable push poll nobody believes.
This Quinnipiac University survey is sure making the rounds. The anti-Trumpers sure cannot stop talking about this fake POS.
Women will be downfall of this nation...
Biden is going to spend the entire campaign telling women Trump appointed three judges to the Supreme Court, and they all struck down Roe v. Wade, and if he is allowed back in the White House he may appoint more who'll "do worse." It's going to murder him with female voters. He may still win because of independents and men, but he is going to struggle heavily with women.
