The gender gap is growing between supporters of President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll of registered voters.
And that’s good news for the Democratic incumbent: Biden holds a slight lead over Trump in Wednesday’s 2024 presidential election poll, 50 percent to 44 percent. The same matchup was “too close to call” just a month ago.
More women said they would support Biden over Trump in this latest survey, with 58 percent backing Biden and 36 percent backing Trump. Last month, the Quinnipiac poll found 53 percent of women supported the incumbent Democrat, compared to 41 percent for the Republican challenger.
The numbers were relatively unchanged for men — 53 percent of men said they’d vote for Trump and 42 percent chose Biden in the latest poll, compared to 51 percent for Biden and 41 percent for Trump in December.
“The gender demographic tells a story to keep an eye on," Quinnipiac University polling analyst Tim Malloy said in a statement. "Propelled by female voters in just the past few weeks, the head-to-head tie with Trump morphs into a modest lead for Biden."

Abortion abortion abortion…that’s all we’re going to be hearing this fall.
It humans who have XX chronozones but lack the courage to be women that will provide the Biden margin. Unwilling or spurned to be married, these spinsters seek the comfort and security from a government that can really provide neither.
As brother of four and father of four gals, I can say that the women are going to get their abortions. I’m not sure that fact is understood by the Repubs. Voting patterns show it. Over and over.
Somethings incorrect in this paragraph. They state the numbers are relatively unchanged but Trump went from 41 to 53 and Biden from 51 to 42.

” Biden holds a slight lead over Trump in Wednesday’s 2024 presidential election poll, 50 percent to 44 percent.”
Six percent is not a slight lead.
What frustrates me so about this issue is, it’s still available. It’s up to each State..... people are so stupid.
Less than useless.
Feminism, woke-ism and racism will be the downfall Of the USA.? Actually, it’s going to be a complete lack of morality and patriotism.. Thieves, liars and traitors under every rock..
Even though it’s a state issue, too many people don’t accept that. If the dems can nationalize it, they will win.
“As brother of four and father of four gals, I can say that the women are going to get their abortions. I’m not sure that fact is understood by the Repubs. Voting patterns show it. Over and over.”
And, I have stated over and over that repubs should step away from the subject of abortion. Simply say it’s no place for the Gov—it’s a woman, her Dr and God’s subject.
Agreed. Don’t go there, if it can be avoided.
Of all the polls which came out just yesterday, it’s hardly surprising that this sniveling media turd would latch onto the one which fits his worldview the most.
The truth is surely somewhere *between* Quinnipiac, which has Biden at 50% (nope) and Bloomberg, which has Trump winning Michigan by 6 points — or even winning it at all (also nope) — and sizable leads in marginal states like Wisconsin, Nevada and Georgia.
Quinnipiac also supports the currently-fashionable (and therefore mandatory among the most liberal pollsters) theme that “Trump can’t win but Nimrod Randhawa CAN!!!!!”, in their attempt to set up the ultimate win-win for themselves in November. Don’t bet your house against that matchup actually happening, but even if it does there’s no way that Nimrod wins.
It will be interesting to see how the special election to replace George Santos in New York’s 3rd District turns out.
Ads are very frequent in the NY television market, so someone is spending a lot of money.
Pilip (R) supporting ads are almost entirely negative ads accusing Suozzi of being soft on immigration.
Suozzi (D) supporting ads are almost entirely negative ads accusing Pilip of supporting a national ban on abortion.
It looks like a test drive of the Fall campaign.
>>It’s up to each State
It’s also a Federal issue.
Since there is now no constitutional right to an abortion, Congress can pass Federal legislation restricting abortions.
Nimrod won’t get any electoral votes in the south.
To most folks, it’s not a religious issue at all. You (we) are in the minority on this.
