Sometimes I would put my hard hat on backwards to help keep rain from going down the back of my neck or when I needed to look up a lot.

Joe potato brain is just a dorky looking bastard through and through….he does not even know how to adjust the head strap.

Sometimes I would put my hard hat on backwards to help keep rain from going down the back of my neck or when I needed to look up a lot. Just saying.

When I used to work on ships under construction I had a hard time on some passageways and inclined ladders seeing the obstructions over my head because of the bill so I flipped it around backwards at times for more unobstructed view above. It's not outrageous but it looks dumb and you might need to do it on a job site every once in a while but you don't do that for a photo op.

I know some guys that flip the webbing around backwards so the bulky adjustment thing is at the back of the head, and the bill faces backwards too. Not sure if it was just to look cool or served a purpose (such as visibility, etc.).
