All the Red State governors have to make it clear to their respective National Guards that they are disregard all orders given by the President or any other member of the federal government. If they are not willing to go that far, this whole endeavor is pointless.
In the second place, although the feds could Nationalize the NG, I don't see how they could nationalize the Texas State Guard without a Constitutional Amendment.
That rattle would look great if it were a section of belted ammunition.

10 USC 12301 requires State governors to consent to that.

I believe that the consent of the governor is required only for army and air units. So that consent would not be required for Marine or navy units. Not sure about Marine and navy air units.
My bet, Biden will back down, then, when crisis is seemingly over. Arrest Abbott and Trump for rebellion. FBI vs SS shoot out. In the fight both are killed. Congress takes away the Texas State Constitution and sends in a Governor General (a good Democrat) to end the revolt. All be over in a week. With Trump gone, Nikki will head the GOP Ticket! She may win, but nothing will change.

Well houknow what? BIden cannot deploy the US Army or other military forces within the USA.
Posse Commitatis Act prevents it....but states can deploy their National Guard , in Texas its called the Texas Militia
