Lawfare, yup. Regulated out of existence.

Compare what they do for things they want. Like the abortion industry.

Hiring a couple of motorcycle gangs by the industry in Washington state to "explain" things to selected parts of the legislature would be a lot cheaper.

Doe the legislation say the video has to be uncompressed?

Does it specify how many fps?

If you take 1 fps at 320x200 the space requirements drop dramatically.

And if you have a hardware malfunction like everyone else in Seattle or wa state gov’t when asked to produce records, oh well, s#it happens

Leftists need to understand that automatic grenade launchers are fairly easy to make. And so are mortars.

Democrats - control yourselves!

People like Amy Wallen are exactly why the founders wrote the second amendment.

What excuses are THEY using?
Fees should be voted on by the majority
someway and used only when proven necessary.

Tired of the aholes bankrupting us while they get richer.
Just make an excuse for a fee, then another..... then another.

For some reason Democrats are afraid of an armed populace.

Similarly, most dems know that there are not enough DHS employees to process all the “asylum” cases that are coming in. Courts should not allow the government to demand or order the impossible.

IMHO gun rights under the Second Amendment are a Federally protected right agreed to by the states when they entered the union. Therefore they have no legitimate authority to impose conditions on guns any more than they have under any of the other Bill of Rights.

OK, this is bad, and typical of leftists in America who thus far have only been able to infringe, not fully overturn the Second (and the First) Ammendment.

But......

If you don’t already have all the guns and ammunition you will ever actually need, without needing a licensed gun dealer in the future, then you aren’t doing it right.

The surviving FFLs should institute a Washington State LEO Fee.

Apply a Local, State and Federal LEO fee to all transactions and sales.

5,000%

Your average AR would then run about what, $500,000.00?

The same fee would apply to any modifications, upgrades or repairs.

If they bitch advise them there is a 2x drama fee.

They can always complain to their Washington State representative.

I hear they are very sympathetic to LEO issues...

It’s a shame that two states have been taken over by maniacs living in a few cities, but it’s high time for the Conservative/Republicans in both to face reality.

Oregon went to mail in voting back in the 90s and has been an utter disaster ever since.

The tech boom and grunge music boon hit Seattle and Washington has fallen off a cliff ever since. Odd, because there are a lot, a lot, a lot of “Right leaning” folks in Washington that just want to be left alone to hunt, fish and live their lives.

So, about time that the folks of the eastern parts of both states unite and petition to redraw the border. Instead of an East-West border, let it go North-South. Give the leftist maniacs the coast, let everyone else have what they want to live their lives.

Each exterior door or window must include bars or grates, a security screen, or commercial-grade metal doors. And all firearms must be stored in locked fireproof safes or a vault outside of business hours. The dealer must also hold a general liability insurance policy providing at least $1,000,000 of coverage per incident.

My family owned a small jewelry store, and this was pretty standard practice to satisfy the insurance carriers. Aside from insurance requirements, common sense would dictate that if you owned a gun shop and DID NOT have the above, you're an idiot.

“While Democrats have systematically chipped away at gun rights in Washington, they've fought to keep criminals out of jail and push for the early release of felons. Perhaps it's why Seattle saw its highest number of homicides ever recorded in 2023.”

Yes, it is a backdoor overthrow of the 2nd Amendment.

However, this is the Soviet of Washington. The final arbiter of state law is the WA State Supreme Court, which has an incredibly liberal bias. The State Supreme Court judges are elected and the bar association (quite liberal) makes sure that when a Justice is ready to retire, that a liberal is appointed on a temporary basis to replace them. Then in the next election that “replacement” gets to run as a “skilled incumbent.”

If a judge is too conservative, the School and various unions will raise money to defeat him/her and provide campaign workers to help elect someone else.

The above is why there are few if any 2nd Amendment lawsuits in WA State courts over what the Legislature does.

My son is a licensed FFL dealer. He tells me that the amount of red tape and record keeping is ridiculous, and this is a gun friendly state, Kansas. They’re selling a helluva lot of guns though. Biden: “The best gun salesman ever.”

If they wanted this to end quickly, gun manufacturers could get together and release a statement that they will no longer sell to law enforcement in the state of Washington.

If the insurance policies are there, lawyers will start going after them, in turn increasing premiums. It’s the Trial Lawyers Guaranteed Income Act
