Maryland: Montgomery Co. Public Schools superintendent asked to ‘step away’ from job

Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Monifa McKnight said in a statement Monday she was asked by school board members last week to “step away” from her post.

McKnight said the board didn’t give a justification for its request and hadn’t communicated concern about her performance — and she said she would fight the attempt to oust her. (See backstory below)

“For these reasons, I’m concerned that its actions are based on something other than my performance, which would constitute a violation of my contract,” McKnight said. “I will defend my reputation and my decades-long commitment to the students and families of MCPS, and will demand that any considerations of my role as superintendent are made through a fair, legitimate, and legal process — anything less would be unacceptable.” …

The new governor there, Wes Moore, who seems like a smart, nice guy, said today that he wanted Maryland to be “a top-ten state in education.” Good luck with that, buddy.

Your "nice guy", Wes Moore, is a corrupt black communist. I don't believe a word out of his lying mouth. What he wants for Maryland is certainly only that which he thinks will propel him to the national stage. Yeah, this jerk actually thinks he could be president. G-d help us!

During my years as a teacher, I was always appalled at the degree blacks make excuses for poor behavior. According to them, they are NEVER responsible for any misdeed—there’s always some external factor to be blamed. Be it pastors or politicians, they close ranks around the one accused, denying culpability and blame. So this does not surprise me. Baltimore’s last 2 mayors (black) are either jailed or indicted for major crimes.

I’m sure he’s a lib, and he did run some non-profits into the ground and has had a couple of shady events, typical of a Dim, but he has a fairly substantial history. Oxford scholar, Military Intelligence and 82nd Airborne captain in Afghanistan, investment banker, author, tv producer, intern to Condoleezza Rice and Tom Ridge, and eventually governor.

I despise how School Districts and their employees feel like they have no commitment to the general public.

You trust Wikipedia as an accurate source? That's the first problem. I did a search for "Wes Moore" just now. How interesting--not a SINGLE conservative source has any article about him. Only the likes of CNN, WashPo, MSNBC, Baltimore Sun and other sewer sources. "...Moore was sworn in on a Bible once owned by Maryland abolitionist Frederick Douglass." It begins. Has to be Frederick Douglass's bible. "Thousands from across the state and beyond came to watch, including Moore-family friend and former Maryland journalist Oprah Winfrey and New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio." So, Wes Moore's vision for Maryland is to complete its transition to a deep blue libtard state featuring blacks placed in every possible important position, not because they are particularly qualified, but because they're black. Where have we seen that before, and what were the results?

My kids went through the Mo.Co. system in the 90’s and 00’s (And I volunteered there pretty much daily.) It was fantastic!

Ended up with one kid with a Ph.D in A.I. and another an M.D.
