Video of his exit declaration
That was the one thing I enjoyed most. It's the main reason I've voted for Trump twice, and will be voting for him again. Being nice gets you no where. The GOPe gave us "nice" candidates for years, who wouldn't say "Boo" about their enemies when attacked by them. Trump was the first candidate since Ronald Reagan that I didn't have to hold my nose to vote for him. He says the things I wish I could publicly say, and have people listen to me.
this is what it looks like when a potential candidate fails to build a relationship with the voting base needed to win primaries. The consultants decided to secure the support of a few people who can only vote once, versus creating a relationship with millions more who can be a continuous source of funding and grass roots campaigning “feet on the ground”. None of his consultants will be going hungry but a lot of voters will be and that should have been his focus. I think he re-calibrated too late.
It will be interesting to see if DeSantis dropping out will help Nikki. I think not.
Even though there have been harsh words between Trump supporters and DeSantis supporters, I think 99% of DeSantis supporters are pro American and will return to Trump rather than letting the Democrats have it.
The sane can’t be said of Haley and Christie supporters, half of whom are actual Democrats who would prefer Biden over Trump.
So my prediction is that Haley will actually lose support following DeSantis suspending his campaign - as the non-Democrat half of her supporters abandon ship and get behind Trump.
He was auditioning for Secretary of Education under TrumpII until one of the Florida Senate seats comes open.
On that note, hopefully we never see Jeff Roe and Christina Pushaw anywhere near a future Republican campaign. Are there others that poison and destroy campaigns like these two?

I hope Trump will be magnanimous and stop bad-mouthing him now.
The traditional practice of GOP elitist/globalists, such as George W. Bush, who insist on Marquise de Queensboro rules having a lock on the nomination are long gone.
You won’t get Jebbie or Christy, hombre. Desantis might have a shot at 2028 if he doesn’t blow it.
I don’t see DeSantis running for a Senate seat. A Senator and a governor have two very different types of personalities. I think he’d be bored to tears in the U.S. Senate.
Against Vice-President Youngkin riding the crest of an AI-induced productivity wave where TrumpII goes +3,+4,+5,+4 on GDP while also taming inflation by restoring TrumpI American energy independence.
DeSantis had a classic astroturf campaign—lots of big public endorsements, lots of press conferences, lots of staged events including lots of travel, high priced fancy consultants with slick advertising.....
It was everything but true hard core grass roots support.
To an outsider it can look like a real campaign that is going places but it is all an illusion—fake—astroturf.
Btw I believe that DeSantis will work hard for President Trump.
The reason—DeSantis has big legal troubles of his own with the bizarre SuperPac/campaign mess that imho was a blatant violation of existing campaign finance and operation laws.
I was not in the room—but I would imagine his lawyers were screaming at him “don’t do this” over and over and over again....but he did it anyway.
DeSantis better hope the Democrats don’t decide to go after his campaign shenanigans this year....because hope is all he has at this point.
DeSantis fell victim to bad advice, nobody was beating Trump in 2024. Glad he endorsed Trump and not #NeverNikki.
Let’s see if Nimarata Nikki Randhawa can beat Trump!
He won in 2020 dimwit
Soon it will be Nikki Baily...
Maybe, but DeSantis has yet to deserve it.
He’s done.
There were fundamental issues with him I never expected.
>He should have waited till 28, but his ego got to him.
IMO the RINO power brokers told him to do this or be tossed. Never looked like someone who authentically wanted it.
Yep…
Imagine you are a European entity with billions. You throw $200M into the American election and you say “If 10 swing states can guarantee the Democrats sweep the state, I’ll give you $20M each. I also guarantee you will never be investigated and the media, which we own, will attack anyone that hints at the truth”.
Just so you know, this has been going on in urban areas for 50 years for a mere fraction of that much money.
Sad news.
