Beverly Hills is supposed to plan for more than 3,100 new homes, most of them affordable, but because the state has denied the feasibility of the city’s plans, “Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Curtis A. Kin blocked the city from issuing all building permits except for new residential development,” the Los Angeles Times reports.

For the most part, it is the cost of the LAND the home sits on in CA that is the primary cost.
Lets see this judge fix this problem.

Replaced by immigrants. (Illegal and legal)

The California jurisdictions should legally separate off areas.

There might be a new city: Beverly Pittsburgh.

The residents of the city should undertake no more remodeling work until the state affordable housing requirement is eliminated.

Go on a service purchasing strike.

I guess they don’t care about the property taxes that they will lose, by diminishing the property values of Beverly Hills.

Any town that took federal funding for their infrastructure has to provide affordable housing or forfeit the funding. Take federal money for new sidewalks, then you need to build an apartment complex that poor people can live in. Gulf Shores, Alabama got caught by this. They took funding for sidewalks, new roadways and rebuilding after Hurricane Ivan. They had to build Four Apartment complex to house financially challenged people. Remember these people don’t pay property taxes, so they don’t contribute to the infrastructure. The money was good for Gulf Shores in the short term. In the long term this will be a detriment to the city.

“Beverly Hills voted for Trump in 2020.”

A small part of Beverly Hills voted for Trump, overall it was Biden 58 to 42...and they’re getting what THEY ASKED FOR.

In most communities, the idea of city and/or county regulation of such matters is the purview of the planning and zoning board/commission. If the property is already zoned residential and the owner wants to remodel it, as long as the zoning doesn’t change, some judge has no business interfering with that process.

What does this judge really want? He ultimately wants cheap apartments disastrously interspersed with single family dwellings. Guaranteed increase in crime and disorder, IMO. I’m wondering if this judge’s bench is an elected position and he’s looking to increase the types of voters who’d actually vote for him.

That “another million or two” WILL be made up of ILLEGAL ALIEN DRUG DEALERS, PIMPS, WHORES, THIEVES, MURDERERS, MS-13 MEMBERS, RED CHINESE SPIES, CARTEL MEMBERS, and DISEASE CARRIERS.

Shut up and build their “AFFODABLE HOUSTNG” in Beverly Hills!

Let's see how long this lasts. I'm reminded of Marthas Vineyard when DeSantis flew in the illegal aliens. They lasted a day before the rich leftists shipped them off

"Ewwww, get them out of here, they're scaring me! They're the help! Only the little people are suppose to deal with them! Isn't that right Michael?"

"Yes Barry"

And this crap is one of the reasons for the Idaho move. My wife is in the deep freeze in Idaho, but I came back to CA for some doctor visits. Having spent my first 25 years in deep freeze locations, I still like the mild Bay Area climate. That’s hard to shake.

The richer part above Sunset went for Trump, looks like. I’m not making excuses for them, just noting an apparent anomaly.

The issue is not that many people are fleeing CA.

The issue is that many hard working taxpaying people are fleeing CA while illegal aliens are flooding into the state.

Of course you need to be one of those racist math geeks to figure out what that means for the future of CA—and if you do figure it out you are banned from speaking about it since that would be “hate speech” and “inciting insurrection”.

;-)
