The issue is not that many people are fleeing CA.
The issue is that many hard working taxpaying people are fleeing CA while illegal aliens are flooding into the state.
Of course you need to be one of those racist math geeks to figure out what that means for the future of CA—and if you do figure it out you are banned from speaking about it since that would be “hate speech” and “inciting insurrection”.

Yes, the hard-working, high-earning taxpayers are fleeing CA. But, interestingly, the flood of illegals isn’t enough to offset just the NUMBER of people, not just their lost tax “contribution.” California is losing Congressional seats, the very first time in its history.
It must be REAL bad if the hard-working stiffs are leaving AND new freeloaders are not arriving in sufficient numbers. The US Census counts the illegals for purposes of representation in Congress, so you KNOW the libs there would have every incentive to make sure CA does not lose official population. But even they can’t gin the numbers up enough!
