A Maine judiciary committee is moving to create a 'safe haven' for teens seeking sex changes and protection from their parents but critics have slammed the bill as 'state-sanctioned kidnapping.'
The 'Act to Safeguard Gender Affirming Health Care' would enable certain out-of-state teens to access hormone blockers or surgery without their parents' consent regardless of their own state's laws.

We need to partition the whole country so we cut off more than Maine. All of New England, the middle Atlantic (esp. DC), the entire West Coast, Minnesota, and Illinois (Chicago) need to join Canada and get walled off from the rest of us ASAP.
If they keep up someone charged with statutory rape is going beat the rap.
It is illogical to say a 17-year-old is too stupid to be able to legally agree to have sex with a royal prince but a 14-year-old girl is mentally competent to have her boobs chopped off.
We need to have independent city states where the kooks can rule their roosts and not lord it over us.
Democratic cities over 400,000 people and adjacent counties that voted Democrat in 2020 would each become independent a year after ratification of the authorizing constitutional amendment. Within that year, local towns in the adjoining counties could vote to rejoin the Republican-ruled area and all contiguous areas so voting would do so. Republican islands would get stranded in their Democratic independent city state.
The then existing national debt would be paid via the existing federal corporate income tax and by a new flat rate sales tax levied in all areas now in the US.
Your citizenship would be determined on where you live 364 days after ratification.
We could use the heat of the hellfire up here right now.
The “transgender” nonsense is so homosexuals can claim that homosexuality is simply as result of lacking hormones and some surgery.
But as most males above age 11 know, the male sex drive is generally greater than the female sex drive. Males having sex with other males speeds up the transmission of venereal disease, which was uncurable in Biblical times.

The shooting in Lewiston was odd. I understand the shooter picked a place (bar and bowling alley celebration) where people wouldn’t be carrying. But I thought SOMEONE would have shot back.

Maine sounds like it’s on the verge of becoming like NH - a former American state that’s purple, trending blue.
Or maybe it’s the media. The times I’ve been there, the people seem normal.
President Trump is running away with the Northern ME Electorial votes, and is tied for the ME 2 at large Electiral Vote.
