Iowa Republicans were a clear reflection of that on Monday night, delivering the former president an emphatic victory. They channeled his anger, and his view that basically everything President Joe Biden has done has been a “disaster.” He’s convinced many Republicans he didn’t really lose the 2020 election to Biden, repeatedly making false claims, and has dominated the race the way someone still in office does. With its more moderate, educated electorate, New Hampshire presents Trump’s rivals with possibly their best opportunity to slow his march. Indeed, about two-thirds of caucusgoers said they felt their finances were holding steady or improving. But the voters still want major changes — 3 in 10 want a total upheaval of how the federal government runs while another 6 in 10 want substantial changes. Additionally, as Trump faces multiple criminal charges, 6 in 10 caucusgoers don’t have confidence in the U.S. legal system.
It adds up to a portrait of a slice of the electorate eager to challenge core democratic institutions in the U.S. More than half of Haley’s voters had at least a college degree and roughly half of DeSantis’ did, according to VoteCast. But only about 2 in 10 of Trump’s did.
Education has been a major dividing line among white voters during the Trump era. Iowa confirms what polling has indicated during the primary — that the education divide is also splitting the GOP.
That hints at a possible weakness for Trump in November, should he be the nominee. A greater share of the voting public has at least a bachelor’s degree now than in 2016, and that share rises every year as degrees become more popular.

At this point, would you put more faith in the judgement of an Iowa farmer, or a Claudine Gay?
This rambling hit piece tells us all exactly what the nutbag left really thinks of conservatives.
What a pompous, smug, elitist pile of steaming crap this article is...
But remember it...memorize it...and remember, this is what they actually believe.
Asspress nutjobs and their PBS cousins. What’s not to like?
Iowa farmers. Yes, they are outstanding in their fields.
“With its more moderate, educated electorate”
ya just gotta love how AP insults Iowans as ignorant, uneducated, bumpkins ...
Its amazing how voters become wise in one election cycle, uneducated morons the next, then back again....
“What we learned” Trump supporters are racist, uneducated honkeys. That’s all this article need to say.
Aren’t you glad these pinkos are so much smarter and better than the rest of us?
According to DeSantis this is the AP that was in the tank for President Trump when it released an early projection.
With friends like these who needs enemies!
The gratuitous insult of Iowans was off the charts vicious.
Can you imagine if they wrote an article that said candidate X would do better in state Y because state Y did not have as many uneducated black voters?
What he was saying was that only stupid hicks vote for Trump. When they get to ‘blue’ states, the smart people will vote. I dislike these cretins. Btw, educated by whom? Ignorant, antisemitic bigots at Harvard?
Degrees are becoming more popular. Who knew.
“They channeled his anger..” Oh yes, and we remember the protest march at about this time in 2017 where Ashley Judd read out the “Nasty Woman” poem was such a reserved and thoughtful affair.
It’s the “What’s the Matter with Kansas?” stuff again.
the farmer
Typical urban elitist garbage by the AP.
Most of these urban elitist wimps could not come close to running a real farm. Hint: It’s hard work and takes a lot of business and real-world smarts, something these elitist dolts utterly lack.
The farmer.
Oh, let me think about it a little more.
.
.
.
THE FARMER. ANY FARMER.
Agree. American farmers are fighting against the tide and the ones today have made it against the odds. God bless them.
A GOOD education should enable people to come to the conclusion that:
biden is demented, and is not really in charge.
Whoever is in charge (obama?) has made the last several years a disaster for most Americans.
Well-educated people have sold Donald Trump short, and need to change their minds and support him strongly!
Miseducated people? Not so much!
