Need a Hank, Wallace hit?
Med is so messed up I can’t keep track of it.
Yeah, I’ve seen that photo before. I would suggest to those ‘brothers’ go back to Ethiopia and see how much money you can make playing foosball there.
They more and better content.
Several years ago I got hooked on pro rugby from the UK that was regularly shown on satellite. Alas, it now requires a subscription.
Imagine football played in soccer uniforms with 15 per side with very limited stoppages in play. Players play both defense and offense since the ball can change hands in the blink of an eye.
Only one ref on the field, two on the sidelines and one ‘up in the booth’. If there’s a questionable play the ref asks to see it replayed on the big screen. Both teams and all the fans can watch the replay and since the ref is miked up, they can hear the conversation.
And in international games the players sing their national anthem enthusiastically.
I love watching The All-Blacks do "The Haka".
Today any hot cable show wil move spin-offs etc to streaming on a related platform for extra $$
Yellowstone for example
First sporting event I’ve seen do it
We had peacock already
It sucks
When I was an instructor at UNC I’d attended some rugby club games for the “respectable” day drinking.
Acorn has some good stuff show. I started one show, said not worth a subscription and searched for other shows on Acorn. By the 3d one I got a subscription. Lots of british, European Australian and and New Zealand cop shows.
Just wait a couple of hours (dire fan) or the next morning (average fan) and watch it on YouTube.
Usually the NFL puts out their highlights about an hour after the game finishes, so I just watch that.
I find it excruciating now to sit through a whole game with all the TV timeouts and woke ads and insidip commentary from female sideline reporters.
Press release means nothing. Success will be measured by number of new subscriptions and future retention percentage of new subscribers as measured against cost to host game.
I wonder how many computer savvy people watched the game via a bootleg channel for free. I know of two.
GREED, GREED, GREED.
And may it lead to even FURTHER decline of the nfl.
i watched Yellowstone for 4 seasons on Direct TV my regular service. they also ran it on Paramount + which I subscribe to for other shows. The fifth and last season they switched it to Peacock. No thank you. I am not switching and changing streaming for a program or woke sports.
income, 23 million times $6
I think the NFL is forgetting where their bread is buttered. Their appeal is that every man could relate to the sport and watch it on TV while drinking bud light (a joke, I know). But if you change that formula that's working, you're a fool.
sideline reporting needs to go awaya. I am sure the league and the NCAA forces the coachesd to answer innane questions even as the game is being played.
Coach what will you do on defense to stop the Tide from scoring in the second half. We have to get back to basics and play our game. Thank you coach.
“I spoke with Coach X at halftime and he told me that in order to win the game we have to play better in the second half...”
Gee, thanks for that wonderful insight, Toots!
Networks now cater to the female audience. Note the products the ads are touting now during football games versus back then.
