JUST IN: Governor Ron DeSantis gets handed a participation trophy by a man during a campaign stop in Iowa, drawing some laughs from the crowd.

"Real quick before we get started. Thank you everyone. Governor DeSantis, I want to present to you this participation trophy."

"Now, you're probably not gonna win the election, right? But we're proud of you for trying. He's special. He's unique and he's our little snowflake."

“ has remained silent or worse about the attacks on our election system, on Trump”

He’s anti MAGA. Somebody has to say it

“ Whatever else DeSantis may be, he is still the Governor of the State of Florida, was duly elected by the residents, and as such is entitled to basic respect for the office he holds.
”

Governor Meatball is a short little turd who pissed me off along with millions of other voters. Screw him

Ok.
So Trump helped Kari Lake, and Hershel and Oz get elected?
The important fact is who was effective once elected.
DeSantis was a very good conservative Governor who fought for freedom during Covid, and became a target of the Left, and then, inexplicably- a target of Trump?!
Folks here who think they are helping Trump, are only helping to winnow away strong conservative leadership.

I still think he ‘was’ a good governor. Maybe even one of our best in Florida.

Made a big mistake running for President at this time. He’s become the male version of Sarah Palin.

Why even post this garbage on FR.

Mostly the same folks at least 3-4 times per day. So annoying.

We agree to disagree.

Lake and Hershel were both victims of vote fraud. What’s desantis said about that?

What's more hilariously humiliating?

Being President and losing your re-election to Biden.

Why an effective conservative Governor who fought for freedom during Covid is continually ridiculed on this site is truly astonishing.

1. He didn’t “fight for freedom” during COVID. Get your facts straight.

2. Has he even showed up to work as governor since his 2022 re-election?

Nobody forced him to leave Florida and run for President and free speech still applies, whether you like it or not. At least no one threw any rotten fruit at him as in campaigns gone by.

Well said.
Even the most deranged Obama cultists have nothing on Trumps bootlickers.

A nation of laws, not a nation of men.

Every single court case, lost. You know how many courts there are in this country, where cases over election fraud COULD have been brought? Yet not one was brought, anywhere, that was won. That should tell you something. Tells me several things.

So what? I’ll vote for Ron in ‘28. We have short memories. This is a silly stunt.

>>”DeSantis was a very good conservative Governor who fought for freedom during Covid, and became a target of the Left, and then, inexplicably- a target of Trump?!”

Inexplicably? You can’t figure out why DeSantis became a target of Trump? Let me help you. He became a target of Trump because Trump figured out before the rest, that DeSantis planned to challenge him for the nomination (i.e. DeSantis had targeted him).

>>”The important fact is who was effective once elected.”

No, the important question is who WILL be effective if elected president. Leaving aside the revisionist history over DeSantis’s record on Covid, his effectiveness as governor is largely beside the point. We’ve seen RINOs perform well as governors in the past. DeSantis is no different. He was given all the help in the world in Florida and he had a great PR team right off the bat.

That the courts are blind...that the system was rigged...that the corruption is beyond repair...that the media in on it...

Five states stop counting at 11 pm with Trump leading, and at 6 am the next morning Biden leads in all those states? It’s plain as the nose on your face and yet you let the very media and government you don’t trust tell you not to believe your own eyes...

>I>Even the most deranged Obama cultists have nothing on Trumps bootlickers.

Sadly true. It all started with Q, and the blind devotion those people displayed, even AFTER their predictions of Hillary being locked up, that we should trust Sessions, etc were all proven to be 100% lies. Now that same blind devotion and delusion has spilled over to the rest of them.

Even Trump himself mocks them when he says he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue in broad daylight and not lose any supporters. I can't imagine idolizing anyone to that point, especially not a politician, in fact that very statement is one of the reasons I quit supporting him.

He deserves everything they throw at him. He's a liar, a phony and a turd.

How many of the election fraud issues brought to a court were actually accepted and tried as a case in a court? As I recall it, almost every attempt was rejected for lack of standing or some other technicality.

Some were rejected becasuse it was before the election so, supposedly, no harm had been done yet, despite the fact that election rules were changed by a court or a governor and not by a state legislature as required by law. Some were rejected after the election because the election was over.

It would be very interesting to know what percentage of attempted cases were never ruled on by a court.
