Vladimir Solovyov, host of "Вечер" (Evening) on state television network Russia 1, has a panel discussion with numerous Russian commentators who suggest that the election of Donald Trump will be followed by civil war in the USA. They laugh about this prospect.
Of note is their acceptance and acknowledgment that Russia will not see a victory in this war any time soon. They're priming the Russian people for a long war.
“Civil war should be down on the list, sure, but it should absolutely be higher on the list than capitulation to communists and dictators.”
Capitulation and surrender are not actions; they are actually the opposite of actions. Surrender and capitulation are passive, and place oneself at the mercy of their conquerors. Hence, that is why I would not put either on the list.
In any event, if surrender and capitulation are considerations, then one has already lost, and no list is necessary.
How is Russia instigating a war in America?
Wouldn’t doubt it could happen, and I think it’s a win for them in either outcome. Either the establishment gets weakened or an opposition takes over that’s Russia friendly or the country balkanizes.
It needs to collapse. It’s not fixable.
I agree.
My view it is on a self-destruct course anyway. In some sense propping it up just prolongs the period that the Regime has opportunity to do damage.
The longer they remain, the more they will destroy and the less will be still standing when they finally leave.
The left will get violent no matter who wins the election.
If Trump wins in November, the left may very well start CWII. If Biden is reinstalled, the left may start rounding up Trump supporters.
“And, you have burning hatred toward Russia and Russians
You sound just like Putin ... another paranoid kook”
I guess you ignore the deranged, bloodthirsty posts urging war to destroy Russia and the Russian people.
Show us 1 example of those alleged posts
We will counter their civil war hopes with a 40% obesity rate and a passively entertained and comfortable populace strategy.

I truly believe if a Russian immigrant live near you, Marcus Maximus, Speedy or Megan C., you'd be burning a cross in their yards.
You have no idea how much I would love not to see or hear anything about Russia or the failed proxy war in Ukraine for a week here.
No. Do it yourself.
Can’t. There are none.
I fear it is higher in the list. Just look around and see what is happening in our country. I think the stage is set but there isn’t a leader for one side. I don’t know how the leader of the confederates was selected but once the powers that be do that it’s on.
Should it happen, at my age, my sole job is keeping my family safe.
I don’t hate all Russians. The dead Russians are okay because deep down they’re nice people.
Lots of Russians live in the USA. Nice people, great singers, their kids speak English, hard working, typically conservative. Also, typically Baptists who hate the KGB Orthodox church with a fiery passion.
The Russians, and the Ukrainians, too, I’ve met who have done work for me on house stuff or whatever have been extremely competent, very professional and generally friendly with that “good neighbors” kinda feel about them.
And now I truly feel sorry for those poor Russians who have to fight in Ukraine. There is no honor for them in that situation and no reason to die.
So confusing. I thought things were going really well for everyone there until putler put the kebosh to a good thing and turned it all into a big, bloody mess.
I was not aware of the religious aspect until a few years ago when a Russian ex-pat FReeper educated me on the persecution of Russian Baptists by the Putler regime and the KGB owned-and-operated Orthodox ‘church’.
Our Ruzzian allies here on FR think I hate the Russians and they have no idea what ‘hate’ is until they get a Russian Baptist fired up about the Orthodox church. It gets very intense and a little scary to be honest.
