Turkey blocks Royal Navy ships sent to Ukraine as NATO falls apart

Turkey has vowed to block two British Royal Navy ships intended for Ukraine to pass through its waters. Last month, Britain said it would transfer the two minehunter ships to the Ukrainian navy to help bolster its sea operations in its war with Russia.

However, the Turkish presidency's communications directorate has now said it will not let the vessels through its Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits.

When Russia first waged war on Ukraine in 2022, Turkey sparked an international agreement that blocks the passage of military ships through the passages for those at war.

Today (Tuesday, January 2), the NATO member country says it has implemented the 1936 Montreux Convention impartially and meticulously in order to prevent a military escalation in the Black Sea.

...... Snip......

The news comes less than 24 hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to "intensify" attacks on Ukraine following strikes in Russia's Belgorod region on Saturday.

There is a treaty (the Montreux Convention) that limits the tonnage of non Black Sea powers’ warships allowed to transit the Dardanelles Strait to enter the Black Sea.

Turkey is merely enforcing that old treaty, limiting ALL non-bordering states to a cumulative maximum of 45,000 tonnes.

That either the Russians or Ukrainians could build more tonnage IN the sea is irrelevant, the treaty is still valid.

NATO may be falling apart, but this is NOT an example of that decay.

turkey is a NATO ally, supposedly, so any NATO traffic should be allowed through the straits.

Show me you know nothing about NATO, or the Montreaux Convention, in 16 words or less :-)

Turkey is House of Togarmah.

House of Togarmah is involved in Ezekiel 38 (King James Bible).

Ezekiel 38 is coming.

Ukraine was once part of the Ottoman Empire.

Only the southern part, west of Odessa, centering on Crimea and only for 100 years, 1359-1451.

The purpose of the Mesopotamian Campaign against the Turks (the ‘T E Lawrence’ campaign mentioned by ought-six) was to secure continued British access to the Anglo-Persian oilfields, through lands occupied by the Ottoman Empire. The earlier Crimean War had a number of belligerents with different interests: but as far as the British were concerned, the purpose was to keep Russia out of the Mediterranean, naval dominance of which by the British was necessary to secure trade routes to India.

Shh don’t tell them any reality or common sense they hate that.

If Turkey weren’t in NATO, the British ships still couldn’t come through, but why confuse some people with logic.

Trump is the President and that’s precisely why all of this stuff is happening. Stay tuned.

“So much for all that NATO crap. Trump was right”

The minute Trump says as President that drilling will resume and Keystone will be completed, this all ends. Not one country outside the United States can survive if oil goes down to $50 dollars a barrel.

Send the ships via the Rhein and Danube now that there’s a canal connecting them.

“However Russia, which has taken significant warship losses, cannot replace lost larger ships nor effectively use shipyards in the Crimea. The Black Sea Fleet is isolated and can only recieve smaller ships through a tortuous river/canal path from the Baltic ports.”

Ruzzia started this war assuming they could bully and intimidate everyone into accepting it and instead they’re facing serious consequences. I have zero sympathy for them. If anything the eventual eradication of Ruzzia’s Black Sea flotilla will hasten peace. I hope this happens soon.

Ukraine isn’t a part of NATO. Turkey has every right to not allow military access to the UK for the globalist enrichment scheme happening in Ukraine.

As with so many wars throughout history, the Crimean War began over a religious spat, this time between Russia (Eastern Orthodox) and France (Roman Catholic); principally, over Christianity in the Holy Land. Pretty crazy. Later, Britain became involved because it was worried about the Russian Empire’s designs on expansion, which would have threatened Britain’s own imperial interests.

And then it was the French-Russian alliance, that caused WWI to spiral out of control.

“This is just Turkey being Turkey; an unreliable ally since the 1970s.”

Turkey is honoring a senior treaty.

The definition of stupid was expanding NATO and making it vulnerable to the actions of little countries and member states that will inevitably set us up for much broader war. The wacko Biden tribe purposely set up a proxy war between Ukraine and Russia claiming it somehow was in our USA national interest. Fools in power start wars so that they can skim money from the people not only for war but also for rebuilding. Crypto SBF and Obama and others got what they want.

The sooner Ukraine runs out of the ammo and troops the better for everyone. Ukraine can’t win. The sooner we go back to letting Russia and Ukraine export like before the better for all. The sooner Russian oil and gas can freely go wherever, the better for all.

Outside of Ukraine the big loser in this war is Germany. Their economy has been devastated by the loss of cheap oil and natural gas. Maybe that’s parts of Joe Biden’s plan, who know was that guy thinks is a good idea.
