Sky News says all people on the Airbus 350-900 were evacuated.

I hope so, but that fire didn’t look good at all. As a former controller, I wonder what happened?

Looking at the airport map, I suspect the landing JAL aircraft hit the coast guard aircraft while it was crossing the runway. I am sure it will be a while before an answer is forthcoming.

At some point these airports will install gates across taxiways, starting with those that intersect runways.

Early speculation. CG was to hold short of the runway. For whatever reason, that didn’t happen.....

Former ATC here- video showed the number 2 still turning during the evacuation. Fire seemed to have generated from there.
