Chicago Mayor on Increase in Most Violent Crime: ‘Reparations’ Money Will Help

On Wednesday’s broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson responded to a question on an uptick in most violent crime categories in the city in 2023 by stating that homicides and shootings have fallen and money “for restoration and reparations” will help address the “cycle of violence” in the city.

Years ago I was auditing a company and we found one department that was completely effed up. When we confronted the manager, he said “Well, I can fix it if you pay me more money.”

He was fired on the spot.

The difference between private industry and government is: In private industry if you screw up you get fired. In government, when you screw up you just demand more money, authority and more employees.

After Illinois joined the Union as one of the largest slave slates with its thousands of square miles of cotton and tobacco fields, they found they needed more labor so Illinois militias even raided other states to capture their slaves. The bounty on new slaves became so high that some of the more disreputable militias would even capture whites, paint them black and collect the bounty thus originating "black-face".

In September 1856 they seceded from the United States just in case Republican John Fremont won the election. When Democrat Buchanan won, they came back, thus ending Civil War 0.5. Then when Lincoln was elected they seceded again. After the Civil War was over, they were they only state readmitted under a secret exemption in the 13th Amendment and allowed to keep their slaves.

Thus Illinois must pay reparations.
