Ronald Reagan, with his 11th Commandment, knew how to win elections.
During the '76 campaign, Ronald Reagan had suggested that President Ford forgot to wear his helmet when he played football for Michigan. He said it with a twinkle and a winning smile, but he said it.

“Why are we doing this stupid infighting? Trump, DeSantis, and Ramaswamy would all be fine Presidents.
Ronald Reagan, with his 11th Commandment, knew how to win elections. Why are we saying bad things about other conservatives, giving the Democrats future ammunition against us? You never know what the future will bring.”
Agree 100%-independent voters hate the petty name calling, especially women who went for Biden 60%+, if this keeps up, Trump loses big time-so much so they won’t have to cheat this time

Still trying to gaslight and spin opinion here.....
🙄
You don't win competitions by being nice to your competitors or letting them catch up to you.
And your spin about independents being turned off by the name calling isn't showning up in polls...
The only people that might be offended are the easily triggered people that have irrational demands and won't ever be satisfied.

All true what you said.
The reason DeSantis hasn't found traction? Trump's policies were successful. They worked for America. No inflation, net wage increases for the bottom half of Americans, a reasonably closed border and no foreign wars. All that despite the outrageous attacks he absorbed from the weaponized Obama/Biden Federal Agencies.

During the '76 campaign, Ronald Reagan had suggested that President Ford forgot to wear his helmet when he played football for Michigan. He said it with a twinkle and a winning smile, but he said it. Lyndon Johnson was the one who said that, apparently back in the 1960s. Source:

Reagan certainly came across so well that he
could have said it without seeming mean-spirited. However, I'd be very surprised if he repeated one of Lyndon Johnson's barbs.
Regardless, the internal backbiting now makes conservatives look petty and won't serve us well in the long run. We should stick together.

Agreed. And it’s not just the independent voters who hate it. I think it comes across badly — and I’m as conservative as they come.

Trump used to routinely say polls are rigged and untrustworthy. Now we’re supposed to believe them. He was either lying then or hes lying now.

Rasmussen happens to have some integrity. But BFD. It’s still a poll, and unless there’s a half-naked female dancer gyrating on it, it’s irrelevant.

Thank you for the needed correction. I blame the Mandela effect.

But...... Desantis is still on the bench to come in if the quarterback is injured.
That’s what matters

Given the ongoing lawfare against Trump, a DeSantis/Haley ticket remains a strong possibility - no matter what the polls say.
Even if he secures the nomination, Trump is 78 years old. A Putin opponent-style "heart attack" brought on by an excess of "six ways to Sunday" could remove him from the picture any time he becomes too dangerous, with no uncomfortable questions asked by the compliant MSM.

The fool let his ego, ambition and wife overule better judgement. Should have waited until 28. Yep, really a shame. It illustrates today's world where people think that after a few years of work they should be President of the company.

“followed by DeSantis and Christie at 9% each”
i can’t decide which is more pathetic: that Christie got that much or that DeSantis is so low that he tied Christie ...

DeSantis could have gained one hundred pounds and run an el cheapo campaign—and he would be no worse off than he is today.
