Former President Donald Trump has been asking allies and advisers for their thoughts about Nikki Haley as a potential vice presidential candidate, two sources familiar with the conversations tell CBS News.
The feedback from the MAGA crowd regarding putting Haley on the ticket if Trump wins the GOP nomination has been overwhelmingly negative, according to these GOP sources. Politico first reported that Trump allies are working to quash the possibility of a Trump-Haley ticket.

Will he ever learn? no. He might load up on some deep staters and again wonder why he can’t drain the swamp. It’s not like building a sky scraper where you are stuck with union thugs to work around.
He can’t possibly be getting enough money from them to make it worth his while.
And he put it all at risk by entering the political landscape. If he was motivated by protecting his assets and his family's future, he never would have done that in the first place.
This guy was born to be the most disruptive figure on the nation's political scene in several generations. He's not the type to cut a deal just so he can run away and live a quiet life.
Trump has a history of making truly horrendous picks, many turning into backstabbers.

So what? Trump only ever does what HE wants, and what is in HIS benefit.
Trump’s campaign is clearly designed to take the right for granted, and run to the left, courting minorities and queer votes from Biden, in this campaign. In that regard, DeSantis is his enemy, and Haley and Pharmaphony are Trump’s natural allies.
Haley can also help bring in even more of the globalist donors that never really liked DeSantis, despite the claims from Trump they were behind him, when they never were. They are behind Trump, Haley, and Pharmaphony, and have been all along.

Nikki Haley would be an excellent VP pick for Trump.
I would also suggest Mike Pence as Chief of Staff, Mitt Romney as Secretary of Defense, Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, and Hannibal Lecter as Secretary of Health.
He needs an heir to the throne. Period. The end.

It must be someone who has never held a public office of any kind. Otherwise, they are compromised.
My choice of Vivek or Kari still stands then.
This is very unlikely to be accurate, as Trump is furious that she decided to run. He’s just trying to be able to say his supporters didn’t want her.
