Former President Donald Trump has been asking allies and advisers for their thoughts about Nikki Haley as a potential vice presidential candidate, two sources familiar with the conversations tell CBS News.

The feedback from the MAGA crowd regarding putting Haley on the ticket if Trump wins the GOP nomination has been overwhelmingly negative, according to these GOP sources. Politico first reported that Trump allies are working to quash the possibility of a Trump-Haley ticket.

Thank goodness! I don’t like her. Arizona woman politician is much better choice. Can’t remember her name at moment.

Here's the problem with your analysis:

1. Trump has had plenty of opportunities since 2016 to do exactly what you said.

2. He's only in the position he's in right now because he has REFUSED to do what you're predicting before now.

If that's his endgame, then what the hell is the point of him even taking on this role as a political player for seven years now?

DJT should remember that he failed to do due diligence with respect to Mike Pence.

If you have a doubt, remain on the top of the fence.

Ask tough questions.

This is being reported by his (our) enemies.

No way is he seriously considering this.

“This citizenship crap is getting really old. Whether true or not nobody cared about Obama and won’t care about Haley. It is a total waste to bring it up”

Democrats like Hunter and Barack Hussein Obama get a pass. Republicans won’t.

Trump said it with his trademark humorous sarcasm to see who would buy into it

It’s one of his ways to thin out Deep State pols who will be clamoring for a place in his administration.

Even caught some posters here...

Because he's grifting millions off of his idiot MAGA supporters.

“because he has REFUSED to do what you’re predicting before now”

Trump has a lot to lose.

I greatly admire Trump’s fortitude, but the Democratic devils are relentless and juries can be misled.

Agreed. Drew’s analysis makes no sense. If that was Trump’s motivation there were much easier and much more profitable ways to go about it than winning in 2016 and governing like a MAGA conservative for those four years. And if it was always his plan to undo in his second term, everything he accomplished in his first term then I’m sure he would have found a way to broker some deal with the deep state to not have the 2020 election stolen.

Drew doesn’t even bother to think anymore. He’s on auto-pilot and has become disconnected from reality on this subject.

WIKI

Faust is unsatisfied with his life as a scholar and becomes depressed. After an attempt to take his own life, he calls on the Devil for further knowledge and magic powers with which to indulge all the pleasure and knowledge of the world. In response, the Devil’s representative, Mephistopheles, appears. He makes a bargain with Faust: Mephistopheles will serve Faust with his magic powers for a set number of years, but at the end of the term, the Devil will claim Faust’s soul, and Faust will be eternally enslaved.

During the term of the bargain, Faust makes use of Mephistopheles in various ways. In Goethe’s drama, and many subsequent versions of the story, Mephistopheles helps Faust seduce a beautiful and innocent young woman, usually named Gretchen, whose life is ultimately destroyed when she gives birth to Faust’s illegitimate son. Realizing this unholy act, she drowns the child and is held for murder. However, Gretchen’s innocence saves her in the end, and she enters Heaven after execution. In Goethe’s rendition, Faust is saved by God via his constant striving—in combination with Gretchen’s pleadings with God in the form of the eternal feminine. However, in the early tales, Faust is irrevocably corrupted and believes his sins cannot be forgiven; when the term ends, the Devil carries him off to Hell.

I am thinking more and more that General Flynn is his best choice. He knows it all.

I disagree.

Newly formed task force. No Senate confirmation needed. Authority of the
Executive Branch. Ability to staff how he sees fit.

Objective: Root out and destroy the Deep State.
