Former President Donald Trump has been asking allies and advisers for their thoughts about Nikki Haley as a potential vice presidential candidate, two sources familiar with the conversations tell CBS News.
The feedback from the MAGA crowd regarding putting Haley on the ticket if Trump wins the GOP nomination has been overwhelmingly negative, according to these GOP sources. Politico first reported that Trump allies are working to quash the possibility of a Trump-Haley ticket.

Would I vote for Nikki if she was the Republican candidate in November of 2024?
Yes, she’s better than any Democrat I can think of.
I would vote for Hillary over her.
Correct. She is a Satanist war whore. There is no excuse not to understand that. I assume this is fake “news”.
no way would he even consider her. He’s got going to pick a black lesbian either.
Yeah, Right.
Unless he had a stroke yesterday that we don’t know about and is non compus mentis, or has been just ‘trolling’ “sources familiar with the conversations”, this is B.S.
LOL
‘Always take Trump seriously, but never literally. This is a preemptive manuever, aka “head fake”.’
I hope you are right. Perhaps later he will say, “I wanted a woman, Nikki Haley, but the base said no.”
“Will he ever learn?”
This is the RINO establishment trying to create buzz where none exists.
Hey Ronna, how much money does the RNC have going into the 2024 election cycle? They need to get a RINO on the ticket to fill their coffers.
This is where somebody says, I know it's crazy ... so crazy it just might work.
Hype news Fake news?
But if Trump picks Nikki Hillary there’s always RFK Jr. and I’m not pooping you.
best for who? The dems?
he actually said Oprah would be his perfect running mate when he was considering being the candidate for the reform party
NEVER
Federalist #68 (Alexander Hamilton):
Nothing was more to be desired than that every practicable obstacle should be opposed to cabal, intrigue, and corruption. These most deadly adversaries of republican government might naturally have been expected to make their approaches from more than one querter, but chiefly from the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils. How could they better gratify this, than by raising a creature of their own to the chief magistracy of the Union? But the convention have guarded against all danger of this sort, with the most provident and judicious attention.
What could Hamilton possibly have meant by "creatures of their own" raised by foreign powers?
What did Hamilton mean by "the convention have guarded against all danger of this sort" if not for both the natural-born citizen requirement for the President and the original intent of the Electoral College?
Earlier in Federalist #68, Hamilton writes:
It was equally desirable, that the immediate election should be made by men most capable of analyzing the qualities adapted to the station, and acting under circumstances favorable to deliberation, and to a judicious combination of all the reasons and inducements which were proper to govern their choice. A small number of persons, selected by their fellow-citizens from the general mass, will be most likely to possess the information and discernment requisite to such complicated investigations.
Today's Electoral College is a rubber-stamp for the candidates, pre-selected state-wide slates of party insiders that vote the Electoral College allocation for the candidate.
What the Framers intended was for non-government citizens to be selected in each locality (Congressional district) to meet at the designated time, to "analyze the qualities" of the candidates, and "possess information and discernment requisite to such complicated investigations."
In other words, the Hamilton expected the Electoral College to review the qualifications of the candidates, weed out the reprobates and foreigners, and then vote for the person whom they thought was best "adapted to the station" to be President.
These were the "guards" of "provident and judicious attention" that Hamilton was referring to, that would be on the lookout for "all dangers of this sort."
The biggest danger, enough of a concern to be mentioned in Federalist #68, was "creatures" of foreign powers becoming President.

Pretty sure he already KNOWS THIS
Two “sources”. Fake news.
yep ... haley is worse ...
“Don’t even believe this. He has no intention to put a person he calls birdbrain on his ticket. This is a rumor to harm Trump.”
I agree. That is exactly what this is.
He needs a proven leader, a strong MAGA enthusiast, someone who will continue what he has started.
