$750 a month was given to homeless people in California. What they spent it on is more evidence that universal basic income works.

I’ve read the FJB regime let in at least 50 million illegals. Until 12/2023. I dunno how many this month. A million?

The report said the funded homeless spent 20% of $750 on rent, or $150. Obviously, they are living in funded housing. There is nothing for rent in California for $150 per month. I think $1,000 rents you a share in apartment with 10 other people.

“That’s a Karl Marx quote? ”

Correct.
It’s fits so much of what Dems believe .

They don’t want us to know the real number.

Not knowing, because I’ve never had to even inquire, I thought to stay there cost nothing. However, a person is not allowed to stay there the entire day.

I read this story of fantasy fulfillment. It just repeats over and over that the donees’ reports say that they were more likely to get nearer to self sufficiency, blah, blah, blah... The lack of SPECIFIC data to back all that up is danced around like the Nutcracker Suite.

Were the tent camps removed? Did drug use and overdoes go down? Crime? Was there a measurable drop in sidewalk sh!t? Did any of them succeed in getting jobs? We don’t know; the article just says all this shows is that UBI works.

I was comparing notes with a vendor from Massachusetts once. Our local fishwrap (before it became part of the state media) had run an article on a border city in New York which was getting all sorts of deposit bottle and can returns from people driving in with Pennsylvania license plates.

They didn't care about giving the nickel a can deposit back because, well, it was New York and a government program. There was also ample evidence that it was financing many of the drug buys south of the border (Pennsylvania), but no attempt to do anything about it because the "right" people were benefiting. It was well organized, quite legal and costing the State of New York hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Mass vendor gave me a jaded look and said it was nothing. Pennsylvania's indolent classes were at least returning empty cans that had been drunk. In Massachusetts, there was an outbreak of incidents where recycle vending machines were shutting down because the indolent classes were crushing FULLY LOADED cans for the recycling money. IOW, they were too lazy to drink or even empty the cans first.
