Former President Donald Trump is facing a backlash after calling one of the most conservative members of Congress a RINO who should be primaried—one week after the filing deadline. Trump blasted Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), a member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, on Truth Social after the congressman endorsed Trump’s rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, for president.
“Has any smart and energetic Republican in the Great State of Texas decided to run in the Primary against RINO Congressman Chip Roy,” Trump wrote. “For the right person, he is very beatable. If interested, let me know!!!”
Trump’s comments appeared to many to be off the mark, as Roy has a 98 percent conservative voting record according to Heritage Action, and is the only Republican who scored a “perfect zero” on voting for Biden’s agenda in 2022, according to Rollcall.
Reps. Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Clay Higgins of Louisiana and Bob Good of Virginia and then-Rep. Van Taylor of Texas each voted with Biden on 1 percent of votes in which CQ Roll Call determined the president had a clear position. Because there were only 66 presidential support votes in the House last year, that 1 percent equates to one vote.
Also, as Iowa-based conservative radio host Steve Deace pointed out, the candidate filing deadline for the 2024 primary elections in Texas was December 11, 2023.
“Is anything more Trumpian than threatening one of the only truly honest members of Congress because he doesn’t kneel before Zod, but also stupidly doing so more than a week after the filing deadline?” Deace wrote on X. “Trumpian bluster followed by a Trumpian lack of attention to detail.”

In case you can’t figure it out, when you say that he sank his presidency, which means he lost, then you are saying that he did not win the election, which requires one to believe Biden actually got 81 million votes.
Trump got more votes than anyother incumbent in the nation’s history, so, therefore, he did not sink his presidency.
I don’t have much use for Chip Roy either.
I confess that I don’t know Chip Roy. But if he endorsed DeSantis, I would have doubts about him.He's the guy who voted against vacating McCarthy and went against Ken Paxton, the nation's most America First AG.
Roy is often a loose cannon at the wrong time. He’s a fighter but occasionally he hits the ref. This often makes he unpredictable and or unreliable.
Can you count on him in a foxhole?

Chip Roy may be many things but he’s not a RINO.
This from a President that used administrative deep state power to have a gun part classified as a machine gun that resulted in it being banned, Federal Circuit splits, and a related case being taken up by SCOTUS.
And has openly voiced approval for ex parte hearings for gun seizures via red flag laws.
And Roy is the RINO?
The filing deadline psssed over a week ago and Trump calls for somebody to primary Chip Roy, a man with a perfect conservative voting record and one of the last true fighters in the House of Representatives.
Yet another example of Trump's classless, bufoonish character.

I agree Trump is not conservative. His approach, to me, is that when he analyzes a problem for a solution, he opts for action that makes good sense and works. He has done that many times.
Liberals (commies) are about ideology above all. That is why Trump’s actions tend to fall closer to the conservative side than to the liberal. But, he understands that politicians need to win and he perceives abortion to be a losing issue for conservatives. That is hard for me because the idea of murdering babies is abhorrent to me. But if Trump loses because of abortion, we lose the White House, we lose his less liberal agenda, his judge appointments, and this time, probably our nation . . . for keeps.
Roy is another one open to the highest bidder not true conservative.
Very few true conservatives in D.C. it’s why they have to fight so hard.
If you are, or have been, a DeSantis supporter.. Or you lean in his direction.. You will defend any critics. I do not live in FL.. I don’t know him except the man on Sunday interviews. I have been for his position, generally.
I do know the first time I heard him speaking.. After he decided to be a Presidential candidate, he included the name, Trump. I thought he should wait for the next election.. Not go against Trump in this one. Those who put their name in the presidential contest were in there to either beat Trump or thought the dem machine would be successful in removing his name on the ballot.
What I know better about, we needed a man in that office to fix the mess that was accumulating. One who was tried and able to do what was needed.
DeSantis could have joined Trump.. He did not. He joined the media. I could have voted for DeSantis 4 years later, but he lost me. He lost my vote once he took on Trump.
You can love the guy.. I know he took on a different note once he was in there trying to beat Trump. Look at it today.. They can’t take Trump out. They’ve tried everything.. They have painted a picture of Trump that is made up by his haters, to destroy him.
If DeSantis had been the lead candidate and stood against the deep state, they would have attacked him. His family with a vengeance. A person has to be a seasoned survivor of the mob, to be able to take it.
I wanted DeSantis to wait another 4 years.
He took on the Presidency at the wrong time. Advisors who did not know the pulse of the people advised him. Today, There are still those who misjudge we the people.
I want to add.. This is not a usual election year. The globalists have come out of hiding and this has turned into a spiritual battle.. Along with right VS wrong.. A free America VS a world government where we lose all of our greatness and become ruled by a non American.
They have the justice system, the courts, all the safeguards put in by the founders, have been taken over by the hard left, intent on control. They have no limits.
We don’t need to have infighting.. Every person who cares for this nation should get behind Trump.. Realize they will do anything and destroy anyone who gets in their way.
I don’t know another person who could stay the course with all they have tried.
If they win this election, this country will have been taken by force and fundamentally changed..
Credibility may be in the eye of the beholder, but to my knowledge no jury has ever acquitted him of any criminal offense. He’s been tried in several civil cases, but no criminal cases that I know of. So when did a jury ever acquit him of any crime?
