1 beaten egg, flour, some baking powder, cinnamon or cinnamon sugar, a pinch of salt, enough milk to dilute the batter to semi thick, pealed and cored 1 apple ( makes enough for 3 or 4 people, so just use another apple and more ingredients for more servings ), a pinch of salt...mix well and drop spoonfulls of batter in got oil in a large frying pan ( I don’t deep fry them ), turn when one side is puffed up and browned, drain on paper towels, and dust with confectioners sugar.

Dinner time was "debate/discussion" time ) and if you couldn't prove your point/didn't get what you were talking about, correct, you couldn't talk for the rest of the meal,. My father was martinet, but that rule DID make me a very good debater and WHY I stick to the facts when posting. :-)
