Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos’s vision for the future involves people living in cylindrical space stations, he recently revealed.
During an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman, Bezos laid out what he thinks would be a good thing for humanity, Market Watch reported Friday.
He stated:
"I would love to see a trillion humans living in the solar system. If we had a trillion humans, we would have, at any given time, 1,000 Mozarts and 1,000 Einsteins. The only way to get to that vision is with giant space stations. The planetary surfaces are just way too small."

Or better yet, let’s kick every mooselimb off our planet, because their sick evil depraved death cult has no place in the human race at all.
What he really wants is Elysium. The rest of us peasants dying down below.
Yes, Jeff Bezos and his WEF friends are really that arrogant.
The materials exist in space, asteroids, the possible tech to build them from the '70s.
All well and good until one colony decides they want more.
Bezos ‘rocket company’ might as well be Tonka toys. He hasn’t done jack squat except launch Captain Kirk straight up and down. SpaceX began the same month as Blue Origin. Elon Musk has revolutionized rocketry and space travel. Each Starship is large enough to be a space station. If you just spin the Starship, you will have gravity, and solve one of the huge challenges. The European Space Agency ESA has hired Spacex to launch its satellites. HECK, Amazon has hired Spacex, since they cannot depend on Bezos.

Four-Fifths of the planet, so I've read...
Machines don't need to breath. Machines making not only copies of themselves but all the requirements people would need. So far machines have done a fine job of exploring the solar system. Once they start making the stuff we need Civilization will finally become established off planet. Good thing too since Earth bound Civilization has had the means for self destruction since the invention of nuclear weapons.
Who will go? The bold and the brave. Since adversity often enhances Religious beliefs , the ultimate adversity of space itself will very likely make the people who choose to live there very spiritual. And we don't have to worry about killing so much as a mosquito once it all begins. People will go , people always follow the money and automation will make the industrial revolution look trivial.
I always figured that the company that runs everything in the movie “Wall-E” was Amazon, thinly-veiled.
They fancy themselves gods.
I’d like the Babylon 5 model.
Two Muslims.
And how are going to feed those trillion people?
Where will you put their trash and bodily waste?
He’s become an insane megalomaniac.
I hear that the Blue Origin model looks like a giant Willie.
And who will be in charge of the oxygen on this space thingy? She who smells like boiled cabbage, urine, and farts? I’ll pass.
Trash chutes and sewer pipes will be vacuumed to outer space.

The earth cannot support a trillion people, so it only makes sense to expand into space.
Might take a couple hundred years to get there.
With a trillion people, the idea of earth as a park, kind of like Yellowstone, makes sense.
This would be a "new earth and a new heaven", would it not?
