Ukraine puts head of Russian church on "wanted" list (Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church)

Ukraine's Interior Ministry on Friday placed the head of Russia's Orthodox Church, a backer of the Kremlin's 21-month-old war against Kyiv, on a wanted list after security services accused him of abetting the conflict.

A post on the Ukrainian ministry's wanted list identified Kirill by name, showed him in his clerical robes and described him as "an individual in hiding from the bodies of pre-trial investigation". It said he had been "missing" since November 11.

Orthodox Christianity is the dominant faith in Ukraine and authorities in Kyiv have launched criminal cases against clergy linked to a branch of the Orthodox church once directly linked to the Russian church and Kirill.

Ukraine's SBU security service last month issued a document saying Kirill "infringed Ukrainian sovereignty" by virtue of his position as "part of the closest entourage of Russia's military and political leadership".

Security forces have launched dozens of criminal cases, including accusations of treason, against priests and officials linked to the branch of the church associated with Moscow.

meanwhile, satanic statues are being displayed to children in America, and allegedly Christian churches are pushing homo agendas.

“He has a difficult relationship with the Lord right now.” We found out why Putin did not take communion on Christmas.

There is nothing new or sensational in the information from colleagues that Vladimir Putin did not take communion on Christmas with the families of fallen soldiers. We previously reported on the reasons for this decision and once again clarified them with sources close to the president.

Firstly , we wrote that Putin did not want to visit the temple at Christmas at all - because of strange dreams and disappointment that God did not give him such desired victories last year.

“Vladimir Vladimirovich now has a difficult relationship with the Lord. Lots of disappointment. But Vladimir Vladimirovich believes very much - believes in himself, believes in Russia. In our times, it is important to maintain a strong faith,” a Kremlin source close to Putin told us.

Secondly , the president has not taken communion since June. We reported that then an unpleasant situation happened to him - Putin dropped part of the bread with which he took communion from his mouth.

“Then there were stupid rumors - that Vladimir Vladimirovich was sick, and that he had allegedly lost the protection of God. In order to refute all these nonsense and not create reasons for the emergence of new ones, the president has not taken communion since then,” explained another interlocutor close to Putin.

The president’s reluctance to receive communion on Christmas was also influenced by his attitude towards Patriarch Kirill, which, according to sources, is getting worse and worse.

“State television footage showed the Russian leader attending with a small group of families of soldiers killed an intimate midnight service, known as the Divine Liturgy, later on Saturday at a chapel at his residence in Novo-Ogaryovo outside Moscow.”

The Insider is run by a Russian in Latvia with an big axe to grind. Your other source is a Telegram channel calling itself “Kremlin Insider” (same guy?) offering all kinds of weird “insights” this person appears to have made up in his own head but which feeds the fantasies of a certain audience. (Remember that guy calling himself “Washington Insider” who claimed to have call this insider info on Obama that was like a dream come true to Conservatives, but he turned out to be a total fake?)

Neither is credible, But you will believe what you want.

Fog of war. Truth the first casualty of war and all that. I don’t trust any source completely. All sides have propaganda machines running full speed.

There is video of Putin attending the service, itvaired in Russian state TV, and Globo-lefty Reuters apparently did not find it fake or they would have cast doubt. They aren’t exactly pro-Russia, you know. So it’s quite likely Putin did attend. Not absolutely certain, but quite likely.

Putin attended the service, as your links show, but he did not take communion. This is what Dmitry Sergeyevich said:

https://ura.news/news/1052721013 This answers the question, and I would not be able to do Peskov’s job.

It is positive that you read info from all sides. Those of us who have been to the Soviet Union and met people from all walks of life know how to interpret the information.

We don’t know whether he took communion. Neither does “The Insider” or “Kremlin Secrets” — and quite possibly neither does Peskov. Nor do I consider it a big deal whether he did or not.

The stuff from the “The Insider”/”Kremlin Secrets” about strange dreams and bread falling from his mouth reads like a typical Slavic conspiracy nut fever dream.

We used to laugh at Russians for falling for conspiracy theories. Now that we’ve figured out we can’t trust our own media, we have our own (Q, etc.) Me, I’m just not into them. But I don’t laugh. Well, not too much 😄

I have spent time in Russia, thank you. On top of that, I have been in the very middle of foreign wars (including Slav v Slav) and I know how this stuff works just fine. I have also seen how the Western media covers wars with a huge amount of slant even when there is information freely available from neutral sources on the ground who were eye witnesses (OSCE, UNHCR, UN, ICRC, etc.). I take everything I read and see with spoonfuls of salt, sometimes shovelfuls.

Isn’t it wonderful we have Putin’s priest and confessor leaking his deepest spiritual secrets to unknown websites in the West?

Also, whoever is literally sleeping bed with Putin, the person to whom he even tells his dreams, is giving us this information also - fantastic!

So which is worse? Putin not taking communion or Zelensky hunting down priests?

I’ll wait…
